I agree, he was being condescending, but his argument is still valid. He didn’t thrash the relevance of education in general. He was specific to the expected outcome that most people had for education, which is “economic success”. Ours and the older generation were taught that if you go to school you will be great. If you don’t you won’t amount to anything. There is a fundamental problem with that ideology which was exposed over time. His argument(as I see it) focuses on the notion that (reworded)formal education is a requirement for economic success, Which I personally disagree with.

You’re making an entirely different argument from the tweet. What relationship does being in high places with a questionable character have to do with formal education? Let’s track back. ‘There’s some truth to “school na scam”’, as he explains how he’s faring better than his lecturers economically and socially, even though they “taught” him in a classroom about how to ‘make it’. He says he received better advice from people less formally educated. His point is, school isn’t the only way to success as it was heavily postulated back in the day. ‘Formal education is ‘the KEY’ to success.’ But we have seen that formal education is just one key out of many. P.s I strongly believe that school is not a scam

The free versions still remain accessible for now, but I’m sure you can see where this is heading. The world is slowly becoming fully subscription based and before long you’ll have to pay to access every damn thing on the internet. Makes you wonder what free will even mean online in 10 years.
