The thing is, this isn't how it really is or will be. This is just someone who has turned all of the intensity settings up to their maximum points. So it's going to look awful, because the person posting it is farming for engagement - because they know they'll farm the 'AI slop' crowd. A good implementation will only enhance what is already there rather than replace it entirely. That's where the settings can be balanced and tweaked to preserve artistic intention.

@DramaAlert GTA 5 Online released two weeks after the singleplayer game. For RDR2, it released one month after the singleplayer did. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised.

It's likely heading in that direction anyway, and there's nothing you can do about it. Just remember this slide from GDC 2026, AMD are making the hardware in both next gen consoles PS6 & Helix, which will likely both contain neural rendering. Before you know it, once the consoles adopt it, it will be everywhere on PC too.
