Gavin Newsom is doing the thing corrupt politicians always do when the spotlight finally turns back on them. He's pretending the investigation is the scandal. It's not. The scandal is that this man has spent his entire public life inside the gap between power and accountability, and he STILL acts stunned when somebody decides to take a peek behind the curtain. Gavin is a product of the California lobby machine, the one that trades names and makes sure their guys win. His whole business career was bankrolled by the billionaire Getty family. But you'll never hear Gavin rage about Getty money. He saves that for Elon. This is a man whose entire political career is a pattern: overreach, scandal, fines for "irregular" accounting. Over and over. He had an affair with his own appointments secretary, who happened to be the wife of his campaign manager and best friend. Btw; she got a $10,154 city payout. Supposedly no wrongdoing. Why are taxpayers paying for Gavin's adultery? He believes he's above the law. That if it's for the "right reasons," the law is made to be broken. That's what every dictator tells himself. 2004, he issued marriage licenses against state law. Courts voided them. French Laundry, November 2020. He's got the whole state locked in their homes. He went after Elon for keeping Tesla open, told him to comply or get out of California, played hard-ass enforcer on national TV. Then he drove up to Napa and threw a $400 plate dinner for lobbyists. Like cmon dude, at least pretend to believe the stuff you say on TV. (oh and btw, multiple businesses he owns got PPP relief during covid. just saying.) Beyond that, I don't get how anyone thinks this man is a great governor, let alone honest. Under his nose, $20B in unemployment fraud, $800M of it mailed to people in prison cells. Has spent $24B on homelessness yet no auditor or taxpayer can tell what happened with the money or if anything changed. The high speed rail is a running joke, $33B to $100B. No one's buying innocent OR competent. And then there's his wife. Her nonprofit paid her $1.8M over the years and routed another $2.1M to her OWN production company. Then the $20M state diaper program, run through a different nonprofit she co-founded, whose co-CEO sits on her board. Why is his wife the only person suitable for all these deals? That's family dealing, plain and simple, and it's the exact thread federal investigators are pulling on right now. Her finances. Her taxes. Her nonprofits. So let's add it up, Gavin. Your best friend resigned over your affair. Your chief of staff just pleaded guilty to federal fraud. You've got two ethics fines in two years and the state's own enforcer calling it a "pattern of repeated violations." Your wife is pulling millions out of nonprofits and landing state contracts. $20B in fraud walked out the door. $24B on homelessness that vanished. A bullet train that's a national punchline. And your pitch is that the only reason anyone's asking questions is that Trump doesn't like you? And to be clear, some of these investigations started under the Biden Administration. Come on, dude. This is the disease with these people. Decades inside the machine, public money in, private benefit out, no consequences, and the second anyone investigates they wrap themselves in democracy and scream persecution. But Gavin Newsom thinks scrutiny happens BENEATH him.

He’s the President of the United States — not your ex, not your personal villain, and not the cause of your misery. You don’t have to support him. That’s America. But if someone is simply backing the sitting President and it makes you rage, cut people off, attack families, or act like garbage — you are the problem. You’ve turned politics into a personality disorder: nonstop outrage and toddler meltdowns online. Grow up. He won. The sky didn’t fall. Pay your bills, care for your family, touch grass, and move on.

The Great Party Switch Myth Post I keep hearing this fairy tale about how the parties "switched" sometime in the 1960s. You know, the story where racist Democrats magically transformed into civil rights champions and Republicans secretly absorbed all that Jim Crow enthusiasm overnight like some political body swap horror movie. Fascinating theory. Absolutely captivating. Just one small problem: NONE OF IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Let me walk you through this, because clearly someone skipped their history homework. The Republican Party was founded on March 20, 1854, in Ripon, Wisconsin, specifically to OPPOSE the expansion of slavery. Not "evolve toward" opposing it decades later. FOUNDED on it. Day one. That was the whole point. Meanwhile, Democrats spent the next century building quite the résumé: Created and enforced Jim Crow laws for nearly 100 years Founded the Ku Klux Klan as their unofficial enforcement wing Filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 75 CALENDAR DAYS Democratic Senator Robert Byrd (former KKK recruiter, by the way) led a 14-hour filibuster against the Civil Rights Act But sure, tell me more about how Republicans are the "real racists." From 1870 to 1901, SIXTEEN Black Republicans served in Congress. Senator Hiram Rhodes Revels became the first African American in the U.S. Senate in 1870. Joseph Rainey became the first Black Representative. Approximately 2,000 Black men served in elective offices during Reconstruction. ALL OF THEM REPUBLICANS. You know what Democrats were doing during that same period? Running paramilitary groups like the KKK, White League, and Red Shirts to terrorize Black voters and murder Republican officeholders. Real "party of civil rights" behavior there. Now here is where the switch myth gets particularly entertaining. The left claims Southern Democrats became Republicans because of racism. Except the voting records tell a different story. A higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Same with the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The numbers do not lie even when politicians do. What ACTUALLY changed was the debate over government size and federal power, not the fundamental approach to political control. Republicans went from using federal power to protect civil rights to advocating limited government after those protections were established. Democrats went from defending states' rights (to enforce segregation) to embracing federal power (to create dependency programs). The mechanisms changed. The underlying pattern did not. Quinn's Law Number 2 states: "If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing." They shriek about Republican racism while their party's entire history is a monument to racial oppression. Classic projection. Interestingly, this historical revisionism aligns perfectly with Communist Goal Number 30 from the 1963 Congressional Record: "Discredit the American Founding Fathers." And Goal Number 31: "Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history." Cannot have people learning the ACTUAL history when the actual history makes your party look like exactly what it was. The party that defended slavery, created Jim Crow, founded Planned Parenthood (look up Margaret Sanger's actual stated goals sometime), and now works to keep minority communities dependent on government handouts wants me to believe THEY are the champions of equality. Please. I was not born yesterday. I was not even born this century, and I still know propaganda when I see it. The "switch" narrative is not history. It is a Get Out of Jail Free card for a party with a century of racism they desperately want you to forget. But what do I know? I am only a high school teacher who actually assigns primary sources instead of letting TikTok teach civics.

Btw, Christianity is extremely based (on evidence). • Its core claim is a public, historical event, not a private revelation • The central miracle was proclaimed immediately and locally, where it could be checked and rejected • The movement grows in the same place the falsifying evidence would have existed • The earliest sources are close to the events they describe (by ancient standards) • The founders gain nothing (power, sex, wealth) and suffer for the claim • The resurrection is treated as falsifiable (cf. “if Christ is not raised…”) • Women are named as first witnesses despite this being culturally disadvantageous • The theology precedes later institutional power, not the other way around • The religion survives intense persecution before it gains political backing • Christianity expects ongoing miracles, not just a one-off founding event • Many modern miracle claims are documented, investigated, and survive scrutiny • There are standing institutions devoted to saying “no” to bad miracle claims • Some Christian miracles (e.g., Zeitoun) involve mass public witnesses, not just individuals • Christianity is comfortable appealing to forensics, medicine, archaeology, and history • Its truth claim is so historical that disproving one event would collapse the system Embrace Christianity.
