The way you people are protesting, I honestly don’t understand. 😂 Tell me why you did the same thing with Lataffa. You’re selling counterfeit skincare products to Nigerians, fake perfumes, fake everything. Then the original producers of these products come to Nigeria to sell genuine products, and you people go in front of their building to protest? You people are not serious. If you think you can ruin this country to the ground, you can’t even come close. 😂 I’m an importer. I know how much some of these things cost. Sometimes I see the prices things are being sold for in Nigeria and I’m like, “Ah! What is going on?” Take deep freezers, for example. A 300-litre deep freezer from China can be bought for far less than ₦200k before all the other costs. Add shipping, clearing and everything fine. But then you see the same thing selling close to ₦600k here. At what point did everything become so expensive? You import goods yourself. You know your landed cost. If something lands at ₦8k, why are you selling it for ₦15k, ₦19k or ₦20k? Yes, you have expenses and you need profit, but some of these markups are just crazy. And then you’re angry because somebody else came into the market and is offering people more affordable prices? This is a free market. It is not a monopoly. If you can import, import. If you can produce locally, produce. If you can compete on price, compete. But you cannot expect Nigerians to keep buying expensive products simply because you want to protect your profit margin. And the fake products too stop it. You’re selling fake creams, fake perfumes and fake products to people, then complaining when genuine manufacturers and cheaper competitors come into the market. Things are already hard enough in Nigeria. People want AFFORDABLE things. I’m not saying sellers shouldn’t make profit. Make your profit. But stop making life unnecessarily difficult for people and then getting angry when competition forces prices down. If the Chinese keep coming with better prices, people will keep buying from them. Because at the end of the day, people buy what they can afford.

My candidate for the Ogun State Governorship election is Senator Solomon Olamilekan “YAYI” of the APC @Sen_AdeolaYAYI. Vox populi, vox Dei. For equity and fairness, it is generally accepted across Ogun State that this is the turn of Ogun West. The people of Yewa/Awori have presented a candidate, and many of us from the other senatorial districts will support him. Beyond the politics of zoning and fairness, YAYI is a candidate whose record is difficult to match. Project for project, achievement for achievement, empowerment for empowerment, his record in the 10th Senate puts him head and shoulders above anyone else in this gubernatorial race in my opinion.
