Yes, the KKK was associated with Democrats. WAS. While the names of political parties have stayed the same since 1850s, their platforms have changed over time. The KKK was not “liberal” or “leftist extremists” because they supported Democrats prior to the 1970s.

Do not be surprised if the deal Trump gets with Iran is remarkably similar to the one Obama agreed to 10 years ago. Another example of “when it’s your idea, it’s wrong. When it’s my idea, it’s right.” Even if it’s the same idea.

SCOTUS ruling on VRA claims that gerrymandering Blacks out of Congress is political, since most Blacks are Democrats. But if most Blacks vote for Democrats and aren’t allowed to elect Democrats, how is gerrymandering not discriminating against Blacks?

Trump supporters wanted this. What is happening does not surprise them. It is exactly what they wanted. Opponents of Trump are the only ones confused. Opponents have to figure out how to convince the rest of America that what they think is good is actually very, very bad.
