Today we have quite a few users reporting problems when connecting from Comcast. It seems to only affect some Comcast users. DriveHQ system is totally fine without any issues. Users using ATT/Verizon or other Internet services are not affected. It is a Comcast problem.

Update: we have at least two customers reporting the problem is caused by Comcast business Security Edge feature. Log in to Comcast account and disable this feature solved their problem. So it seems Security Edge blocked DriveHQ. Please contact Comcast.

The hosts file is at: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc Edit it, add 3 lines: 66.220.9.51 proftp.drivehq.com 66.220.9.57 drivehq.com 66.220.9.50 ftp.drivehq.com Save it to the desktop first, then copy & overwrite the file. (No .txt extension to the name)

For users affected by Comcast issue, please contact Comcast technical support and report the issue as described in previous messages. You can also work around it by visiting a backup domain for web-browser access, or edit the local hosts file to bypass DNS.

But from Comcast network, it is modified! see below. We use Google's public DNS for testing. Obviously, Google returned the correct IP address. But Comcast modified it. Comcast needs to explain what happened, and why.

File locking only works if a program locks files, e.g. Microsoft Excel locks files. But Notepad, Adobe programs don't lock files. DriveHQ has a solution to lock files even if these programs do not lock files: youtu.be/bbRahEmV7qw
