It shines in new domains with low stakes and low complexity. I built an offline-first iOS app (never having written swift before) in under two hours. It’s useful in its UX/UI and uses open source data. Nothing to break, nothing to wake up for in the middle of the night, and perfectly simple.

While this is true on most fronts I think you are gravely underplaying the fact that it is meant to please you. When it can convince you that what you are saying is absolutely right and at the same time absolutely wrong - no matter how smart it is - you lose trust in it. Lehavdil, as an example, in the Talmud we don’t often side with Rav Meir’s legal opinion exactly because he was too smart. Right now we are in a honeymoon phase of trust and maybe that’s playing out 10x in Silicon Valley. It has real value and has sped up many aspects of our social and professional lives but for many it will just create a sounding box of what they want to be true.

@IhabHassane That’s not what happened. Israelis that started the issue were arrested and IDF soldiers were shot at by Palestinians - who in turn - responded with fire.
