@IAlabugin Thank you for sharing. We never looked into the isolated Rydberg radicals (though it would be fascinating of course). Our calculations were limited to where density originates and lands during a potential charge-transfer event between the thiolate and hydrazinium fragments.

Our work is about generating and harnessing H• as a genuine radical, evidenced by EPR, radical clocks, and deuterium labelling. The paper addresses this directly, worth a read.
