After October 2023, more than 8000 settlers received weapons from the IDF by enlisting in “regional defence units.” The IDF gave rifles and unchecked authority to people with a history of hate crimes against Palestinians. Formally, these units are subordinate to the IDF.
“Don’t Give Them Guns” is the name of the campaign we launched last Friday. Millions of Israelis believe that settler terror is carried out by groups of fringe extremists. The role of the IDF and the state in enabling it mostly escapes public attention. Our aim is to change that.
This map tells you a great deal about the rationale behind the Israeli settlements in the West Bank. They cover almost the entire territory and are grouped far apart from one another. It's logistical and strategic nightmare for the IDF. What is the rationale? To grab as much land as possible and disrupt Palestinian territorial continuity.
Anyone still clinging to the convenient narrative of “a few bad apples” or “a handful of hilltop youth” is simply choosing not to look at the data or the map. The reality is not subtle. And when Bezalel Smotrich states explicitly that “the farms are a mega-strategic tool for
One can only imagine how appalled the IDF’s Chief of Staff would be if he were to “discover” that the IDF has systematically tortured Palestinian detainees, used them as human shields, and backed pogroms in the West Bank.
Two years after our exposé on the JNF’s funding of youth programs in West Bank outposts, the organization has done the right thing and formally cut back its funding.
A good decision, along with commendable remarks from the JNF’s new chairman, Eyal Ostrinsky: “Regrettably, under the guise of education, it turned out that we were supporting activities aimed at bringing at-risk youth to the settlements to help dispossess Palestinians of their land... These outposts being set up by [Bezalel] Smotrich and [Orit] Strock, we won't be part of it anymore".

In the West Bank, a minority can kill with total impunity, while the majority can be arrested simply for being attacked by them, let alone on accusations of theft, which would be investigated by institutions that default to siding with this minority.
Haaretz spoke with Jalud villagers and reported on the ongoing settler terror attacks, backed by the IDF. The quote in the first tweet is taken from their article:

An outpost was set up near Jalud 2 weeks ago. Since then: dozens of attacks, homes burnt. Though in Area B, administered by the PA, the IDF has neither removed the outpost nor stopped the violence. Why? Because they share the same goal: ethnic cleansing.
"It was very frightening; the house filled with smoke and you felt a choking sensation, but because of the settlers we were afraid to go out into the yard [...]" - one of the villagers said. And the IDF? You guessed it: protecting the terrorists who set homes on fire >>>
Israeli settler terrorists set a Palestinian family's home on fire in an attempt to burn them alive in the village of Jalud. The family fled — this was not the first time settlers had tried to kill them in their own home.

And indeed, satellite imagery shows that the IDF is implementing a large-scale engineering project on the Yellow Line, which includes at least 32 military outposts, a ground barrier, and infrastructure.

🟡Israel’s Yellow Line in Gaza has shifted. Israel now controls 59% of the territory, up from 53% in October when the “ceasefire” came into effect. The IDF is entrenching its presence in the area, so the Yellow Line could become a new de facto permanent border 🧵

🚨Last night in Duma: a Palestinian shot and injured!
The Israeli Occupation Forces invaded the village during the night after the yesterday's morning settler attack. They shot a Palestinian doctor at his home, and arrested three others - their location still unknown.
Israel has been systematically destroying the essential infrastructure for life in south Lebanon. These solar panels supply electricity (that also powers a water pump) to the village of Debel. This is a Christian village surrounded by Israeli troops whose residents have refused
🚨Violent Settler Outposts Expand into East Jerusalem
The settler violence and pogroms that in recent years has been associated with outposts and settlements in the West Bank is now creeping into Jerusalem’s municipal boundaries.
In recent days, settlers from a newly established illegal outpost near the village of Nu‘man along the southern edge of East Jerusalem, raided the village’s land and violently attacked its residents. This marks the first settler outpost within Jerusalem’s municipal boundaries, setting a dangerous precedent amid escalating settler violence and the proliferation of settler outposts, targeting Palestinian communities across the OPT.
According to reports, settlers armed with clubs and pepper spray entered the village’s lands and assaulted residents. Several Palestinian residents were injured, and one was hospitalized as a result of the attack. Israeli activists present at the scene called the police; however, officers only arrived more than an hour later. Upon arrival, police arrested two of the Palestinian victims while only temporarily detaining three of the settlers involved.
This incident is part of a series of attacks carried out by settlers affiliated with the outpost since its’ establishment. These attacks have also targeted residents of the nearby neighborhood of Umm Tuba, where Palestinian shepherds were assaulted and threatened, alongside incursions into homes in Nu’man.
The protection of Palestinian residents in Nu’man and Umm Tuba is a must. The Jerusalem municipality and Israeli authorities must act immediately to dismantle the illegal settler outpost and stop the escalating settler violence.
