The total figure donated to @UKLabour by the unions since the Electoral Commission started recording such things 25 years ago, is £154 million. This is the largest sum from any source given to any UK political party in history. It’s an outrageously inappropriate sum of money and is bound to have facilitated undue, unfair influence over Labour policy and its MPs. The unions should be banned from donating more than £1000 to political parties in any year. Agree?
