@Faux_Freedom @OldSchoolRS I am not sure who this relic is for. The spec boost seems the best part. Perhaps this item allows bad PvMers to brute force mechanics? But I think minion is a better choice for those not familiar with PvM.

@OldSchoolRS Its a cool idea, but this does not hold a candle to minion. Perhaps if it had a toggle to auto activate the tick a otherwise killing blow would land then some would choose it? In general, this feels a lot lower effort than Minion. Perhaps PvP use case? How many specs?

I launched rentahuman.ai last night and already 130+ people have signed up including an OF model (lmao) and the CEO of an AI startup. If your AI agent wants to rent a person to do an IRL task for them its as simple as one MCP call.

Elon Musk explains his 5-step algorithm for solving any problem: "The most common mistake of smart engineers is to optimize a thing that should not exist." "I have this very basic first principles algorithm that I run as a mantra." Elon breaks it down: Step 1: Question the requirements. "Make the requirements less dumb. The requirements are always dumb to some degree, no matter how smart the person who gave you those requirements. You have to start there, because otherwise you could get the perfect answer to the wrong question." Step 2: Try to delete it. "Try to delete the part or the process step entirely. If you're not forced to put back at least 10% of what you delete, you're not deleting enough. Most people feel like they've succeeded if they haven't been forced to put things back in. But actually they haven't, they've been overly conservative and left things in that shouldn't be there." Step 3: Optimize or simplify. "The most common mistake of smart engineers is to optimize a thing that should not exist. So you don't optimize until after you've tried to delete." Step 4: Speed it up. "Any given thing can be done faster than you think. But you shouldn't speed things up until you've tried to delete it and optimize it otherwise, you're speeding up something that shouldn't exist." Step 5: Automate. "And then the fifth thing is to automate it." Elon explains why the order matters: "I've gone backwards so many times where I've automated something, sped it up, simplified it, and then deleted it. I got tired of doing that. So that's why I have this mantra."

Woke up to Ashes of Creation being shut down. I can honestly say I'm not very surprised after this current phase on Steam. In January of 2025 the team at Intrepid was doing a good job. There were bugs, performance issues, and moderation problems but they communicated and handled things relatively well. Fast forward to this current phase on Steam and everything imploded. Tons of content that we reported as broken back in 2025 was still unfixed even if it was extremely low hanging fruit. The systems that were built on were developed in weird directions that didn't seem to make sense or feel good overall. On top of that moderation was basically non-existent so players were routinely spouting racial slurs, threats, and hate speech in global all day. In any other game these people would be immediately banned. I went to bat for Intrepid many times over the years encouraging people to give them a chance. Removing misinformation and showing the community all of the best points of the game. On a personal level I am incredibly disappointed in the entire company now. This isn't the kind of environment that I want to build a community around and not one I personally want to support. I ended up quitting the game three days ago due to this and now it's been shut down entirely. I enjoyed my time playing Ashes with all of you regardless of the shitshow that it became. Looking forward to whatever new adventures we head out on in the future.
