@playboyreview @rorysutherland Printed matter (vs digital entities) and vinyl is about ownership rather than consumption. Magazines fall on awkward ground here as some are worth keeping and collecting and some are clearly not. Playboy as an annual publication seems to prove this point.

@stephenkb Given that Sunak spent pretty much the entire election campaign saying taxes would go up under Labour (which they might), that Labour won so many seats, one can only conclude that voters were OK with tax rises. Might be useful for everyone to tell a more positive story about tax

@TheAccountantUK @DavidGHFrost The Tories campaigned—even if they didn’t govern—on all the most right-wing of these viewpoints: lower taxes, push back net zero etc—and the country firmly voted for the opposite. Anyone who thinks they lost because these ideas ‘weren’t conservative enough’ should see a doctor

The alternative—if you don’t like immigrants—is increase productivity, which is much harder
