A history teacher once told me the Pilgrims invented Thanksgiving. I asked her about George Washington's 1789 proclamation. She had no idea what I was talking about. October 3, 1789. The Constitution is barely ratified. Congress asks the President to declare a national day of thanks. Washington doesn't suggest it. He commands it. "It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for His benefits." Duty. Not option. He called Americans to "sincere and humble thanks" for winning the Revolution. For the Constitution. For religious liberty. Then he told them to pray. To "beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions." The Father of our Country. Publicly confessing national sin. Calling a nation to its knees. The Pilgrims weren't even mentioned. That story came later. Sanitized. Secularized. Safe for public schools. The real first Thanksgiving was a President declaring that gratitude to God was the price of being American. They don't teach that anymore...

Someone just told me: “Pastor, you REALLY need to look into the modern state of Israel.” Bro… I have TWO seminary degrees from top Bible schools. Ordained minister. Thousands of hours in the Word. Read the Bible cover-to-cover multiple times. Devoured ~10,000 theology books. I didn’t get my view on Israel from CNN, TikTok, or some “enlightened” podcast. My source? THE BIBLE. And it’s crystal clear. 2/4 The Bible says: ✅ The Jews would return to THEIR land in the last days (Ezek 37, Isa 11:11-12, Jer 31) ✅ Jerusalem would become a global flashpoint (Zech 12:3) ✅ ALL nations would eventually turn against Israel (Zech 14:2) ✅ Jesus Himself will return to ISRAEL — feet on the Mount of Olives (Zech 14:4, Acts 1:11) ✅ The eternal capital of King Jesus will be JERUSALEM — not Dubai, not NYC, not heaven (Rev 20-21, Zech 14) 3/4 The Bible literally says “ALL ISRAEL will be saved” (Rom 11:26). God didn’t replace Israel. He didn’t transfer the promises. He didn’t change His mind. If you think the church “replaced” Israel, you’re arguing with God’s unbroken covenant — and you’re gonna lose that debate. 4/4 So nah… I don’t need your YouTube documentaries, Al-Jazeera clips, or “demonic propaganda.” I’ll stick with the most accurate book in history — the one that’s been 100% right on every prophecy so far. You're using 'I'm not ready' as an excuse to avoid the scary part, which is actually trying and potentially failing." Man: "But God, real mastery takes—" God: "I sent out twelve men who didn't have seminary degrees. They turned the world upside down. You have twelve study Bibles and zero disciples." Man: "But my theology needs to be—" God: "Your theology is fine. Your obedience is missing." Man: "But the conference next month is supposed to—" God: "Stop. Stop going to conferences. Stop reading about discipleship. Go make a disciple. Now. Anyone. Even if you mess it up. That's the only way you'll actually learn what I told you to do." Man: "But my calling..." God: "I called you twelve years ago. You've been preparing ever since. Thanks for the prayers."

God saved me on the same road I took to avoid Him. Jonah ran to Tarshish to avoid Nineveh. Storm. Fish. Three days in darkness. “And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land” (Jonah 2:10, KJV). Still ended up in Nineveh. The detour became the sermon. You can’t outrun God. You ran to career, addiction, success, control—anything that let you avoid surrender. And God met you there. Not at the altar. Not in church. Not when you were ready. At rock bottom. On the road you thought led away from Him. Joseph’s brothers sold him to Egypt to destroy his dream. Prison. Betrayal. Years wasted. “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good” (Genesis 50:20, KJV). The pit became the throne. Paul persecuted Christians to destroy the faith. Damascus road changed everything. “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” (Acts 9:4, KJV). The road to destruction became the road to conversion. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God” (Romans 8:28, KJV). The road you took to avoid Him? That’s where He saved you. Not in spite of the detour. Because of it. Rock bottom wasn’t the end. It was the altar. God doesn’t just save you FROM something. He saves you ON THE ROAD you took to escape Him. That’s grace. —TBM
