Credentialed & transparent tutoring & full homeschool courses in the humanities for Grade 5 & up. Balance the ideology in schools with innovative study!timelinesed.com ZoomJoined May 2026
If your kids are in public school, they don’t learn the truth about communism. They don’t learn the truth about Islam.
They also don’t learn about the exceptionalism of America and how it allowed capitalism to thrive.
And the Bible as a textbook was shunned over a century ago.
That kind of education for decades explains everything you need to know.
@NYCSchools Look at all that social justice on the roster. People selected for their identity instead of their merit. All those players benefitting from their moral betters about “equity.”
Wait. The greatest sports reward achievement and talent.
Your schools should too.
Totally right. The inverse but equally insidious part is if a teacher properly “hides” (ie doesn’t share) his/her political ideology, then the teacher is seen as subversive by the “silence is violence” crowd. They’re “not with the program.” Maybe worse than subversive. Maybe (gasp!) a conservative!
This is how they make schools into laboratories that grow leftists.
Moreover, the “pause button” claim fails on its own terms. Let’s say it was true: if I pause puberty at 12 yrs old, then restart it at say, 16 yrs old, how is that harmless or neutral? I’d be a 16 yr old with a 12 yr old puberty process.
As usual, all these assertions are incoherent and made to survive a critical moment when someone objects- but they never withstand even minor scrutiny.
Hear me out: don’t send your kids back to the government school next fall.
Withdraw them permanently.
Join a local homeschool group.
Meet some veteran moms and dads.
Attend a homeschool conference.
Free your children.
It doesn’t matter if you have a degree, a stay at home parent, two jobs, or extra money. I promise you, I’ve been through all of that and homeschooled for 26 years.
You might sacrifice something, but wouldn’t it be worth it?
Math is more clear cut sure, but it’s not that difficult to see in history or language either. The “Columbus was a massmurdering genocidal maniac” crew also can’t tell you the century in which he lived. The ones who say Jefferson was a white supremacist can’t name a single accomplishment. They know Nazis are bad but don’t know that communists are also. They can’t explain federalism or find Vietnam on a map.
So I take your point but I’d say it’s not that hard to find the deficit in humanities either.
That’s an issue (excused absence for one view but not another). It’s clear viewpoint discrimination by the state.
But also, it eliminates the sacrifice of protest which we are told is the noble part. Kids are told: “MLK was attacked. Parks was arrested. Riders waked instead of taking a city bus. Kaepernick lost his nfl job.” It’s what supposedly makes any one of them heroes.
“Now you go protest injustice!” But you should not suffer any drawbacks to that decision. “I hate injustice but I don’t want to lose my perfect attendance streak!”
It’s a boycott without the boycott. “We aren’t riding the bus! But we still want a ride to work!”
If adults are gonna encourage kids to go out and protest then part of that should be the loss of something. Otherwise it’s just a field trip.
The Zinn book is absolute poison to the teaching of fair minded and pro western history (and yes, you can be both). It may be the best example of conservatives ceding education to progressives over the past 40 years. The book went unchallenged and was ubiquitous in American middle and high schools and agreeing with it became a symbol of high-brow status, belonging among teachers, and a litmus test. Before the “1619 project” there was this book and it did far more damage. Still does.
Yes! Schools are the most political places to work. I don’t mean left/right (because it’s typically left/left) but rather in the how to thrive way. Keep your head down, they said.
It is absolutely seen as “difficult” to question the decisions of admin people who (wait for it) …are NOT in the classroom and don’t have to live with or execute their decisions.
Schools are failing.
Kids know far less now than generations before. It cuts across economic and racial lines. More and more families are home schooling fully or need to supplement the garbage non-vital lessons in schools.
Educators have slowly de-centered themselves: we went to student-centered classrooms.
Students teaching students.
Exams to projects.
No spell-check to full AI.
Lessons to mini lessons.
Lectures to YouTube videos.
Can’t get lower than a 55.
Can’t get higher than a 4.0.
Presentation matters to spelling doesn’t count.
Mastery to social emotional learning.
But despite all these moves away from “teaching” (a noble pursuit), we should pay the people who get over ten weeks off a year fully paid (a more generous situation than any other profession) MORE?
You’ll have to explain that a bit more, please.
@Moms4Liberty@prageru@TPUSA I should have put “gold standard” in quotes. To be clear, my point was that teachers rely on the now discredited SPLC and wrongly forbid and dismiss as hateful TPUSA and PragerU, among other non progressive or Leftist orgs.
Take it from a former classroom teacher: SPLC was (is?) the gold standard teachers use.
When I was in PD sessions - public and private school!- it was made clear: @prageru and @TPUSA were racist and bigoted. Kids could not use those sites as sources for papers or projects.
Of course, NYT, NPR, SPLC were beyond reproach…those were accepted and expected…and almost exclusively the sites teachers used for their handouts, HW, and slideshows.
Yes!
It’s true that in-school kids need to supplement their experience with lessons, vital info, and discussions they won’t get in classrooms. Teachers are too weak, too ideological, and too institutional.
And home school students can benefit from helpful educators who make the family and real, nuanced education the priority.
Either way, Timelines is here to help!

It’s high time parents took back control of the education of their kids. Public (and private) schools have failed in their mission entirely, both philosophically and practically.
If your school isn’t saying the pledge it’s because teachers and weak complicit admin have nixed it for ideological reasons. You then have all the information you need: they are willing to sell out their society and a brief sense of unity to the whims of their personal politics.
Summer and fall slots now available for US/world history & language arts!

So many terrible aspects to this but THE worst might be her teaching it with a pointer as if there is academic and reason behind the pronoun chart. As if she is teaching grammar in a language rather than a made up thing.
As usual, it’s theater: she is playing the intellectual academic as if she was teaching them to conjugate verbs in Latin. See vid! Name the movie!!
