@2147mill I think 212 ISA account is a no brainer for long term investing in ETF’s and stocks etc. Simple and easy. But it has its limits. I use IBKR Pro for day or swing trading. You can’t trade properly using your phone.

@2147mill I think it’s really important if you actually actively invest that £200. There’s a lot of noise on fin x about finding 10 X stocks etc. But monthly compounding into indexes should be the base for the general public. It gives you the right to invest in higher risk assets.

@bennybigbull Good shout Benny. One of the biggest lessons new investors must learn (often painfully) is to take notice of support levels, & macro backdrop. You can be bullish long term and recognise that now isn’t the right time to buy the dip. Patience.

@2147mill Macro isn’t supportive of high beta and may not be for a period of time here. Or it might flip back to positive sentiment quickly. For now I would suggest this is a lesson for folk in taking “some” profit & position sizing, fomo etc. Don’t chase, size appropriately & add slowly.

@2147mill Microsoft is in a downtrend. Lower high’s, and I’d probably concentrate my money on one of the other mag 7 rather. Not sure where we go with SMGB over the summer. I’d maybe have some exposure to consumer staples or healthcare as a defensive position against a poor summer.

@retail_mourinho Seems like it wants $100 at some point. Very slowly added today, but giving plenty of space to add more. I’d be patient through the summer if we stay in the vol chop.
