@EnergyVoiceNews voice their concerns over @Aberdeenshire decision to close wraparound services, potentially 100's of people will have to cut hours or leave jobs, increasing #childpoverty @AJABurnett @LabourMercedes @laurencefindlay @jimsavege energyvoice.com/oilandgas/5477…

@Aberdeenshire Council has a £35million shortfall, so is making key workers redundant & closing critical services, damaging the economy. If only there was another way to save money. @AndrewBowie_MP @laurencefindlay A fresh look at how @Aberdeenshire manages itself is needed.

Thanks @GillianMSP for highlighting the appalling @Aberdeenshire decision to close wraparound care in July, over 300 parents left in the lurch. @AndrewBowie @AndrewBurnett will you step up & support your constituents? Why the lacklustre reaction so far? x.com/ThatsTVScotlan…

@ThatsTVScotland @GillianMSP And yet they do not appear to have investigated why. Running at 46% capacity but budgeting for 100%. No discussion on price increase. The issue is mismanagement, not the service itself.

Thanks @AJABurnett for looking into @Aberdeenshire 's recent decision on OOSC services: "this report should have been compiled & presented to the full Aberdeenshire Council instead of the education committee, so the agenda would have been much more public in the first place...

...", and representations could have been made by OOSCs. The communication should have been better, and it should not have been left to parents to effectively find out through a newspaper which may not be in full possession of the facts."

Thank you @AXISAberdeen for your support, we need to keep raising awareness of this decision by @Aberdeenshire as the impact on females in work and those hoping to return to work will be massive. #genderequality #WorkingLadies #returntowork #DiversityandInclusion #childpoverty

As well as closing all @Aberdeenshire OOSC provisions, AC is also quoting rent fees too high to make it feasible for small businesses or community solutions to take over @PregnantScrewed @AndrewBowie_MP @AJABurnett @GillianMSP #Alford #banchory #Equality

Aberdeenshire Council voted in May 2023 to close all OOSC services, behind closed doors & using flawed data. AC are taking a massive step back when it comes to equality, child poverty, education & childcare, going against Scottish Government's own framework. Shame on you.

@AndrewBowie_MP @ScotTories @AJABurnett @Conservatives Were you aware of the campaign for improving the OOSC in Alford? Although not provided by the council, the council made it impossible for the provider to continue due to the rates of the rent of the community room, which councillors decided to put up.
