Scottish Turntable ferry, unloading on Kylesku, north of Ullapool. The cargo is a Triumph Herald and its associated caravan! This service was replaced by a bridge in the 1980s.

LMS Coronation 46256 ‘Sir William A Stanier FRS’ in Crewe North shed on 25 September 1964. The diagonal yellow stripe is to show it was banned from working south of Crewe after electrification. 46256 was withdrawn for scrapping just days after this picture was taken.

A Les Folkard image from 1971 featuring a South African Beyer-Garrett loco. The loco is now preserved @SummerleeMuseum near Glasgow where it was built.

45595 ‘Southern Rhodesia’ at the head of the up Mancunian passes through Rugby on this undated John McCann image. Even though it is several years after nationalisation, the loco tender still says LMS.

Short Sunderland (civil version) G-BJHS moored next to Tower Bridge in the 1980s. Shortly after it flew to America, where it still remains.
