They legitimately have a "camera" in the middle of them that is moving so it is impossible for the background to change because they're in a 3d space with the background around them. Even then she could have slightly moved to the left no longer talking with longer.

The front of her is shown at the beginning the back of her is shown at the end. The background is different because you can see the back of her pov compared to the front of her. 3d animation is different from frame by frame hand drawn animation, (1/2)

"retconning its own pilot" so, I don't think you know what a pilot is exactly..... It was never canon it was a pilot. Pilots aren't usually canon to a story and MANY THINGS change from pilot to show most of the time in most media.... They can't retcon a pilot.

The story literally bends over backwards, to a point of retconning its own pilot to paint Stolas in as good of a light as possible. It runs away from his manipulation of Blitz instead of embracing it in his character, the one real consequence he faced was losing his daughter.
