After around 4 months of procrastination I've finally gotten back into the groove of working on my little project. I have to admit, I was surprised at how fast I was able to pick up where I left off, and in one day I was able to get quite a lot done.

What's more important to you in a game? Assuming it's well made and delivered with minimal bugs. Do you prefer Good graphics, or a Good Story?

Fellow game devs. How do you deal with procrastination and burnout? What do you do to keep going? What do you do to keep from getting distracted? Genuine questions, asking for genuine answers?

Dev Log Nov 22. Spent most of the day struggling to design and wire up a confirmation pop-up to a naming screen & then to a cinematic screen. I'm still not sure if I got the save system working right. At least the print string shows what I want. Tomorrow, the core loop begins.

What are your must have UE5 Plugins and why?

Anyone up for a tiny teaser? Name's blurred, not quite ready to share it yet - though, there is enough visible someone might guess it.

Dev Log Nov 20th. I find that there is a joy in making games. Well a game, my first game! There's also a fair amount of frustration. But to create something is very rewarding. The last couple of days I've been working on my main menu screen, and it's starting to look good!

I'm really enjoying the visual scripting aspect of Unreal Engine, it's kind of like its own mini game. However the more I've worked with it the more I realize that those tutorials I've watched barely scratched the surface. Woof!

What genres of games are you most interested in?

I want to thank the creative community on X for the warm welcome I've received. For a new tiny studio it's a nice feeling. I have some really big ambitions and some much smaller ambitions too.

At some point I am probably going to have to commission a 3d artist to make a few fantasy type models for a certain future project I have planned.

Building an indy game studio is a labor of love but also lots and lots of patience.
