But there are no guarantees with any opposition, as Bayern found out against Villareal last season. At the end of the day, you have to beat the best at some point to win the @ChampionsLeague and currently that team is City. #UCL

It's a funny game. Bayern won 6/6 in the group stage, faced PSG and City in the R16 and quarters, and are now on the brink of exit. Inter came second in the same group, faced Porto and Benfica, and are well positioned to reach the semis. #UCL

From a potential treble to (likely) just another Bundesliga title in the space of seven days. Nothing against Tuchel, who can only do so much in a short space of time. Bayern's bosses really have a lot to answer for.

Tuchel (and Kahn, Brazzo & Co.) is under a lot of pressure to succeed in this tie. Progress, and any doubts about the decision to replace Nagelsmann will quickly disappear. But if he loses, you have to wonder what might have had his predecessor remained in charge... #MCIFCB
