Are you suggesting they are going to build 4x the current overland infrastructure in a few weeks before they run out? (While also fighting NATO)

@KotteErraz @Rvaneyken @WarMonitor3 China's overland oil capacity at best is 2.5 million barrels a day which is already at maximum capacity - they import 10 million a day via maritime. Pipelines take a while to build and if the country has no fuel for construction it will take even longer.

@Tees_Issues The Carnival generates £120M for local businesses at a cost of £12M for policing. Crime rates are on par with other similar events—Glastonbury & Mardi Gras see arrest rates around 20 per 100,000. Knife crime is a wider London issue, not specific to the Notting Hill Carnival.

@Tees_Issues They knew how bad things were, but growth for 2024 is projected to be just 0.7%. Meanwhile, our debt interest payments have skyrocketed from £43 billion to over £100 billion—an increase equivalent to the entire defence budget. There really isn't much money to go around.

@Tees_Issues The NHS was founded when there were 625,000 people over 80. That number is now 3.2 million - an increase of 412%. Decreasing obesity is dwarfed by the issue of an ageing society. An issue that is worse in Teesside compared to the national average.

@mtmalinen The UK & France supported the Turks against Russia in the Crimean War. The resulting reforms after the war culminated in the emancipation of the serfs and relative freedom for 23 million people - I'd argue that was a good thing.
