20 blocks, then it counts. Settle credits a deposit only once it's 20 blocks deep on Robinhood Chain, and re-reads the last 5,000 blocks so a deposit a slow node missed still lands. Boring infra. That's the point.

How a Settle trade works: 1. Lock: the seller's ETH goes into escrow, on-chain, before anyone pays 2. Pay: the buyer pays the seller directly, on PayPal, Revolut, Zelle… 3. Release: the seller confirms, the vault sends the ETH Nobody goes first on trust.
Scoped keys. Wallet off-limits. Settle API keys are hashed, shown once and scoped: read, trade, release. Releasing ETH is opt-in. No key can change your wallet or where you get paid. Those stay on the site, behind your X login.
Nobody goes first on Settle. The seller's ETH is locked in the vault on Robinhood Chain before the buyer sends a cent. It goes to the buyer once the seller confirms the money landed, or back to the seller. P2P without the trust fall.
Every step of every trade comes from the database itself. A Postgres trigger records each trade opened, each status change, each message. Nothing moves a trade without its event. From there: push to your phone, signed webhooks, an event feed.
Two escrows, one rule. Sell ads lock ETH once and serve many trades: open a trade and the ETH is already there. Buy ads get a fresh escrow per trade, keccak256("settle:trade:<id>"). Either way, the ETH is locked before anyone pays.
Don't trust us. Check the vault. The Proof page reads Settle's escrow vault live and checks it holds all the ETH that ads and open trades are owed. Contracts verified on Sourcify.
