Ok, so major progress, the editor is now functional enough. We can do minecraft style blockouts in addition to placing props rotating scaling ect. If I keep this going we will have effectively a functional in game editor compact enough I can sell it as a standalone product.

Hot take regarding digital currency with the #VRChat devs. I think that the devs should be justified in cracking down on any form of digital currency that is not VRChat credits. The game already has a digital currency and we should use it. The reason Udon chips should be considered a gray area is because it has utility. But even with that, I would not fight it if the devs told me to never combine udon chips with persistence. If you want to do some wild crazy crypto / nft stuff that is what Basis is for. Have respect for the platform, we are lucky to have it.

By the end of the month the in game world editor to be in an alpha state. One of the interesting things is that every plot has the ability to connect with your private residence. That means the unique video player link is connected. Imagine having a world open up with several DJ events all going at once because every plot has its own video player. So not only can you customize the plot how you want, you can also run events out of it. I just got the collaborators system setup, this allows for up to 3 other people to work on the same plot as you at the same time. I also added a portal object that allows you to directly travel to the private residence connected to that plot. Your Private residence is also a custom location you can edit with the in game world editor. Next I am going to add props to the in game world editor. Right now we only have blocks. Blocks are your basic geometry building utility. Props will be objects that we can place that can be rotated and scaled however you want. Think, bed chairs work benches decorations.

I had a lobby open and let people join and claim land plots. People were able to easily grab the multitool and make stuff with little issue. It was a fun and chill experience. I think a lot of people are going to vibe with this world building tool as it develops. #VRChat

I was able to test the in game world editor in VR last night and I have to say, this is a huge improvement over the older system. A stress test where we get a bunch of people to build at the same time is absolutely something I want to do soon. Maybe tonight?

@Metaldragon416 We will only need 20 people to each grab a plot and build on it for a bit. I am in the process now of getting your basic block types into it. We will be able to build much more than this but I like the idea of starting with something familiar.

Oasis 3.0 will in game world editor is is mostly functional now. The in game world editor is going to exist in all worlds built on the Oasis 3 architecture. However, I am going to be releasing a world that is inspired by something we often see in Minecraft. The idea is the world will have 20 plots of land, anyone can claim a plot for free. You can enable the ability to build on the plot and everyone will see what you have made. The things you build are saved to persistence so you can save progress between sessions. Gardening and crafting is likely to exist in this world. I want to create a variety of interesting things you can craft and build. If you grow a garden it gives access to more rare materials. I may also provide ways to gain materials through exploration of locations outside of the city plot area. Patreons will have the ability to attach a private residency to their plot. I want to have a door object you can place on your plot that makes it easy for others to visit your private residence. The private residence will also be a fully customizable space. Private residencies have their own video player and thus can run rave events in completely in game built venues. Placement of props, video screens and just about everything else is planned right now. This is basically going to be a game inside of #VRChat.
