@DuckieLouise It saves time in some scenarios (not idealized highway conditions) bc you make the light before it turns red; which causes you to make the next one, and the next one, etc
Missing a single light can lead to a chain reaction that takes minutes off, in suburbia type road setups
@Palle_Hoffstein It’s not about global warming; it’s about not being a caveman stuck in the stone ages lol
Global warming raises temps like 1° every 50 years or something
If we reversed global warming to the tune of 150 years to the point that it’s 3° cooler you STILL should have AC
Every guy I know in tech wants to advance society towards the black monoliths from 2001 Space Odyssey
Every girl I know in tech wants to advance society towards the pink razors from 2001 Motorola
…and tbh I think the girls would be taking us down the better path
Language space alone can’t model everything
But it can model the derivative information of everything
And that’s sufficient, given enough derivative information
(And bespoke code can work with that derivative information, with Turing completeness, and bridge the gap)
Even if it’s not modeled internally, it doesn’t matter. For all intents and purposes it can arrive at the same actionable outcomes; just with more work
Silly small example: it may not truly grasp there are 3 r’s in strawberry; but it does grasp that the letter-counting-function it coded is accurate; and it said ‘3’, thus that answer is reliable, even if it can’t conceptually model the intrinsic native accuracy of the answer internally
This is a silly example because letter counting has to do with lack of token representation whereas Yan argues for lack of non-token/non-linguistic latent geometry representation in linguistic token-space … but the underlying principle is the same between both
It can’t properly internally model a protein fold with linguistic tokens alone… but it can reliably produce the linguistic derivative information with increasing granularity to the point that it can create all the same outcomes from linguistic derivative modeling alone (less efficiently of course; but does that matter, given how infinitely compute it scaling?)
I disagree w @ylecun that LLMs can’t get us to full spectrum AGI (tho I agree w him on most everything else I’ve found)
And I disagree with him regarding this one thing because of one small concept…
Turing Complete Code can get you to ANYTHING
And LLMs can perfect coding…
So therefore LLMs themselves can’t model the world properly, but they can build bespoke tools on the fly which can
And that should be enough.
It’s just truth. I’m not trying to be condescending. I myself searched out all the religions to see which was true. I assumed there’s no way to tell or it’s mostly based on blind faith
I was BLOWN AWAY by how certain it is. It is 100% Christianity; it’s not even close. Christianity is the ONLY religion with actual evidence, every other religion is based on blind faith.
The evidence for Christianity is so overwhelming it’s basically proof.
I was forced to become a total full 100.00% believer in Christ as God after studying religions for ~2000 hours.
I’m not trying to be condescending. I’m just telling you reality. Show me one other religion that has any sort of actual evidence and I’ll retract my statement.
But when you have a set of tens of major religions and only a single one of them has any actual real viable evidence (and it’s so much evidence it’s essentially proof) it’s not really condescending to say that it’s the right one and the others are all false… it’s just honest.
@signsonearth@themaddierune I’ve also studied many religions
I didn’t say they aren’t fascinating, nor did I say you shouldn’t study them
All I said is that they are false gods and that Texas specifically is a Christian established state of the Union (as are like 43 other of our 50 states iirc)
We obviously reached advance tech at some point in the past
(I believe in the global flood)
I believe the reasons our ancestors were so obsessed with alchemy is because we actually achieved it, antediluvian… they believed it was possible because they knew it had been possible previously (via advanced tech, which got destroyed).
I’d even entertain the idea that in some ways the tech survived and has been exploited privately for a time [Mansa Musa?] and may even still be to this day, by ancient elite families [Rumpelstiltskin? (lol)]
This explains the mystery of why there is so much more gold on Earth, than there should be, based on our geological composition …our ancestors made it!
ASI will unlock such tech trees once more, and gold will again devalue. Nuclear Transmutation is real, it’s not fiction… we already know how to do it; it’s just the way we do it is very cost prohibitive at the moment….
Cheap abundant gold will come, perhaps one day very soon even
This is why artificial scarcity is so necessary. Everything else will become abundant. Cryptographically provable scarcity is the way 🧘🏼♀️🙏🏼
Extremely bullish on the inevitable Post-Quantum BTC Hardfork
THE Messiah of the Jews (though they did not recognize Him, and instead He was revealed to the gentiles …as Isaiah 52-53 said would be the case)
Daniel 9 tells us the Messiah MUST come before the destruction of the temple.
The temple already has been destroyed (40 years after Jesus’s crucifixion [callback to Exodus duration])
And just as Moses (Torah, covenant of the law) could not lead them to The Promised Land (heaven), but instead Joshua (Yehoshua) would—so Jesus (Yehoshua) did!
Via the second covenant (foretold by Jeremiah 31:31)
1) Simulation theory is true;
2) The Simulator is God;
3) He entered the Simulation as one of us
And everyone on Earth knows that, among actual real historical figures, there is only one viable candidate. And it’s not even close
No one can offer up any alternative historical figure, it would be laughable. Everyone knows Jesus is the only legitimate candidate. There is literally no one else even remotely viable—for being the Simulator visiting His own creation in His simulation
Seek & Find 🤲🏼
@WeakNerve It’s so funny how many Europeans think Americans mean a literal tiny AC device when we say “AC”, and not HVAC
Every American house can adjust temperature (hot or cold) however they want; and the entire house will adjust quickly and maintain these conditions indefinitely
