The argument I don't understand is the "because people voted for very specific people" bit. I am under no false impression that no matter who was voted for anywhere at any point would Sony/PlayStation NOT have gone down this route. Yes, governments don't care about the gaming industry, which leads to fewer consumer protections. Why—however—are we blaming voters for this? Is there a politician I wasn't aware of that is an avid gamer and was advocating for consumer protections? The gaming industry has been walking down this path for decades. It would have reached this point regardless of who is in power. The companies and their pursuit of greed is and always has been the issue at hand.

The gaming industry is not as consumer-protected as some people think. Governments do not care about the industry as it is, current or previous. Companies have realised that and amidst the AI surge decided to push boundaries as far as they can. Max is right.

I get the stance of being against AI. Truly. But it doesn't excuse you from being a decent human being and having a cordial discussion with others. Completely demonizing people who use or support AI doesn't just cause more people to be AGAINST you, but it just makes you look like an intolerant asshole. I'm an artist myself and I have no issues with using AI for fun, as a reference tool, or even as a placeholder like the person you called out does. Be better. AI is coming whether you like it or not anyway.
