Went to grab some breakfast on the way to my office in Berlin this morning and popped into a coffee and bakery shop, it was early & I was the only customer there. I ordered a cappuccino, a pastry & a bottle of water. The guy made a nice looking cappuccino & put it on the counter with the pastry & water. He then said ‘only cash’ & I was stumped, I didn’t have a single euro in cash on me (stupid I know). I got a lecture from him about cash, freedom, banks and government. He was not originally from Germany but this guy should be lecturing classes on why economic freedom and cash are keys to freedom in general. Of course he took away the cappuccino & other stuff I’d ordered & I had to leave. He was not happy & neither was I. I then headed into my first morning meeting but his words stuck. After the meeting I found an ATM and walked the 1k or so back to his shop and paid him cash for his cappuccino. He didn’t want to take it but I insisted, I told him he’d put in the labour and ingredients & it had cost him. I also told him that he was absolutely right in everything he said about cash. I’m glad there are business owners like him still out there. If you ever read this, best of luck to you sir. I wish you good health and abundant fortune.

Ireland is going to have to temporarily place checkpoints on all border crossings with Northern Ireland & deport everyone that came in from that route. If they have a legit asylum claim it should be made in their first safe port, not once they reach Ireland. Similar policies are about to be implemented elsewhere and between much larger European countries. These new checkpoints should just be for human trafficking/fake asylum seekers, nothing else. They should be mounted until the flow is halted. Use the army with at least one member of the Gardai with each military checkpoint. Has to be done. If the army need special one off powers, the Dail should pass them. For what it’s worth I suspect, but can’t yet prove, that much of this is organised human trafficking. We also have to know who the beneficiaries are behind the offshore companies with the massive asylum seeker housing contracts in Ireland. It’s a multi-billion industry in a country that statistically should have much lower numbers of seekers.

That’s the total population of Australia, think about that for a minute!

Yet the market still seems oblivious to the fact that this criminal case is at the final stage. ALREADY 5 judges have ruled that crimes were committed! ALREADY 16 executives, ministers and bureaucrats have been charged! ALREADY those charged have had their opportunity to appeal these charges! ALREADY those appeals have been dismissed! Now they stand trial, one at a time, for the judges panel to hand down convictions and sentences. Legal counsel confirmed that those charged may appeal the sentences, but NOT the convictions. Emerita REQUIRES ONLY ONE CONVICTION, the sentences are irrelevant. Emerita’s counsel does not mince words: “According to Emerita’s external Spanish legal counsel this is a very important step since trials in Spain do not typically proceed to this (oral trial) stage without a high certainty of guilt and it is very rare that accused are found not guilty at this stage.” Emerita NR 24th June 2021 To me, it’s not a question of whether we see one conviction, but rather if we see all 16 convicted. THE COURT AGREES: To dismiss the appeals of the Attorney of the Junta de Andalucía, María José Asensio Coto and Mario and Isidro López Magdaleno and Minorbis against the order of March 8, 2021 and to partially uphold the appeal of Vicente Cecilio Fernández Guerrero against said resolution, revoking it in order to issue a new order to initiate Abbreviated Procedure in which the punishable act of the latter is specified, including the typical elements of the different crimes attributed to him, adapting the rest of the story to them, with an ex officio declaration of the costs incurred in this appeal. Notify this resolution to the parties, letting them know that there is no recourse against it.” (Page 20: 5-27-21) Note: The partially upheld appeal by the Minister of Innovation was in respect to the charge of bribery.
