I've awoken from the grave to share some exciting news: I've finished the script for The History of the TF2 Economy Part 3! This will be the final part of the series, covering the years 2015-2023. And yes, it's going to be as beefy as the last one, with a runtime of ~50 minutes.

@ShorKtf2 @danekevincook Skins also suck from a trading perspective, there’s way too many unique versions to keep track of. Most traders just outright refuse to trade for them

@truffle31456676 I always recommend converting everything into keys and then selling them on a reputable website like Marketplace.tf. Whatever fees you pay are worth making sure you don’t get scammed.

@elmaxo_swag @PyroJoe My guess is that enough people started selling keys at the exact same time, causing a big enough dip that others panic sold, and then bam, keys crashed in price. But of course, this new price is only temporary. Eventually the price will go back up as it always does.

@elmaxo_swag @PyroJoe While sometimes it's easy to point to a specific event causing a downturn (for instance lots of players getting new keys around the holidays and wanting to cash them in for low-tier cosmetics), other times it's less clear.

I know I’ve been pretty silent as of late about the next part of the History of the TF2 Economy, but I have some good news to share: I’m almost at the finish line! At this point the video is 95% edited, I just have to finalize everything. Runtime: 49 minutes, 30 seconds.

If stuff like new weapons, game modes and SFM shorts is what makes an update "major" to you, then I suppose this isn't it. But considering we've had "major" updates in the past with less content than what Valve has already promised, this seems like a dub to me.

It’s worth pointing out just how close recent holiday updates have been to old major updates. Really the only thing they were missing was a non-holiday theme, permanent maps and new gameplay features like weapons or contracts. Valve has basically guaranteed two of those things.

I don't wanna seem jaded but if you truly believe this will be more than a "cosmetics and maps pulled off the workshop" update akin to halloween and christmas, just without a theme, you are blissfully optimistic huge news for workshop creators though, good on them
