Yesterday Mallory McMorrow appeared at an event with Abdul Sayed and today Haley Stevens did the same. It appears that Michigan Dems are doing the right thing and uniting behind the primary winner. This is how things should be done. The media, social media, and of course Republicans would like to see us divided, so this appears to be a promising development.

As reckless as it was for the people of Dearborn to stay home instead of voting for Kamala Harris, the self-defeating stupidity I'm watching on X right now — Jewish Democrats treating support for Palestinians and moral outrage at Netanyahu and the Israeli state as antisemitism — will produce consequences just as catastrophic, if not worse. All of this is happening while Trump accelerates the Nazification of America. Let this be the warning: if we do not win the midterms, whatever you fear from Mamdani or El-Said will look trivial next to the horror that will overtake this country.

This is so funny and ridiculous on so many levels. 1) If it was fascism, then Trump's the fascist as Trump oversaw the response to Covid for the first year of the pandemic, no matter how much Republicans want to pretend he wasn't president in 2020. 2) Neither Trump in 2020 nor Biden from 2021 onwards arrested journalists, seized their devices, banned them from reporting, detained foreign students for speech, or threatened opposing party members with execution. That's Trump now. The fascism is *now*. But Rand Paul wants you to talk and think about Fauci so you ignore the masked federal agents who are shooting American citizens in the street *right now*, but weren't shooting them for violating lockdowns or not wearing masks or whatever other imagined repression Paul thinks happened in 2020.
