إعلام محلي يمني: شنت جماعة الحوثي المدعومة من #إيران، فجر الثلاثاء، هجمات بالصواريخ الباليستية والطائرات المسيّرة استهدفت أحياء سكنية في مدينة #مأرب ومدينة #المخا وميناءها غربي محافظة #تعز. وأفادت وسائل الإعلام، نقلاً عن سكان، بسماع دوي انفجارين في مأرب، يُعتقد أنهما ناجمان عن تصدي الدفاعات الجوية لطائرات حوثية مسيّرة، فيما تعرضت المخا لثلاث ضربات صاروخية، طالت إحداها الميناء، بالتزامن مع تحليق طائرات مسيّرة حوثية في أجواء مدينة تعز.

Yemeni local media: The Iran-backed #Houthi group launched ballistic missile and drone attacks early Tuesday, targeting residential neighborhoods in #Marib, as well as the city of #Mokha and its port in western #Taiz Governorate. Media outlets, citing residents, reported hearing two explosions in Marib, believed to have resulted from air defenses intercepting Houthi drones. Mokha, meanwhile, was hit by three missile strikes, one of which targeted the port, coinciding with Houthi drone activity over Taiz city. #Yemen

Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi said that “the era of aggression without consequences is over,” stressing that Yemen’s armed forces are now better prepared and that Houthi attacks on #Marib, #Hadramawt, and the western coast “will not go unpunished.” During a meeting with ambassadors of countries supporting Yemen’s political process, he said the state would no longer allow the Houthis to monopolize decisions over when, where, and how hostilities begin, or when they should end. Al-Alimi urged the international community to adopt a clear and swift political position condemning attacks on civilians, ports, and economic facilities, and to support the Yemeni government’s right to protect its citizens and institutions under international law. “We are not asking our friends merely for statements of solidarity with the government; we are asking them to defend rules that are supposed to uphold the entire international order,” he said, warning that international silence or ambiguous language gives the Houthis further room to escalate. #Yemen

قال رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي رشاد العليمي إن "مرحلة الاعتداء بلا كلفة انتهت"، مؤكداً أن القوات المسلحة اليمنية باتت أكثر جاهزية، وأن الهجمات الحوثية على مأرب وحضرموت والساحل الغربي "لن تمر دون عقاب". وشدد، خلال لقائه سفراء الدول الراعية للعملية السياسية في اليمن، على أن الدولة لن تسمح للحوثيين باحتكار قرار بدء المواجهة وتوقيتها ومكانها وحجمها، ثم تحديد اللحظة التي تتوقف فيها. ودعا العليمي المجتمع الدولي إلى اتخاذ موقف سياسي واضح وسريع يدين استهداف المدنيين والموانئ والمنشآت الاقتصادية، ويدعم حق الحكومة اليمنية في حماية مواطنيها ومؤسساتها وفقاً للقانون الدولي، قائلاً: "نحن لا نطلب من أصدقائنا بيانات تضامن مع الحكومة بقدر ما نطلب الدفاع عن قواعد يفترض أنها تخص النظام الدولي كله". وحذر من أن الصمت الدولي أو اللغة الملتبسة يمنحان الحوثيين مساحة لمواصلة التصعيد.

Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi called on the United States and the international community to move beyond the policy of “managing the Houthi threat” and instead address its root causes and sources of strength while strengthening the capabilities of the Yemeni government and its institutions. He stressed that peace and deterrence “are not mutually exclusive options,” and that any understandings that fail to sustainably address the capabilities, financing, and regional threats of Iran-backed armed groups will not resolve the crisis but merely postpone it. During a meeting in Riyadh with Neil Hope, the new Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy to Yemen, al-Alimi said the Houthi missile and drone attack on the Port of #Mokha—coming days after attacks on government forces’ positions, displacement camps, and civilian sites in Marib and Hadramout—showed that the group was pursuing a “systematic war targeting the Yemeni people’s resources, lifelines, and economic gateways.” He warned of the dangers posed by missiles, drones, and advanced weapons remaining outside state control. Al-Alimi called for continued political, economic, and diplomatic pressure on the Houthi group and its backers, alongside support for the government in protecting the country’s territory, territorial waters, ports, airports, and the interests of its citizens. The #Iran-backed Houthi group targeted the commercial port of #Mocha in western #Taiz Governorate, on Yemen’s western coast, with a series of missile and drone attacks, causing extensive damage to the port’s infrastructure, according to the internationally recognized government’s Ministry of Transport. The attack came after two days of continuous similar strikes on the displacement-crowded city of #Marib in eastern #Yemen, which killed and wounded civilians, according to the Ministry of Health.

The #Iran-backed Houthi group says it carried out a large-scale military operation targeting camps and troop concentrations belonging to government Emergency Forces in the Ruwik, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniyah, and Al-Wadiah areas in the governorates of #Marib and #Hadramawt, eastern #Yemen, using a large number of ballistic missiles and drones. Yemen’s government Emergency Forces said that the #Houthi group targeted several military camps and armed forces units in eastern #Yemen on Thursday, across Al-Jawf, #Marib, and #Hadramout governorates, including positions belonging to the Emergency Forces, resulting in material damage and casualties. The Yemeni forces added that the Houthi attack followed security and military operations carried out by units from the Emergency Forces, the First Military Region, and the Nation’s Shield Forces, alongside security agencies, to secure international roads and pursue highway robbery and smuggling gangs, as well as suspects wanted in connection with assassinations and organized crime.

قالت قوات الطوارئ الحكومية إن جماعة الحوثي استهدفت، اليوم الخميس، عدداً من معسكرات ووحدات القوات المسلحة في مناطق شرقي #اليمن، بين محافظات #الجوف و #مأرب و #حضرموت، بينها مواقع تابعة لقوات الطوارئ، ما أسفر عن خسائر مادية وبشرية. وأضافت القوات اليمنية أن الهجوم #الحوثي جاء عقب عمليات أمنية وعسكرية نفذتها وحدات من قوات الطوارئ والمنطقة العسكرية الأولى وقوات درع الوطن، إلى جانب أجهزة أمنية، لتأمين الطرق الدولية وملاحقة عصابات التقطع والتهريب والمطلوبين في قضايا الاغتيالات والجرائم المنظمة.

The U.S. Embassy to #Yemen announced the arrival of Neil Hop to assume his duties as Chargé d’Affaires, leading the U.S. Mission in strengthening cooperation with the Yemeni government and advancing #Washington’s priorities in Yemen and the region, including protecting freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, combating terrorism, and ensuring the security of U.S. partners. According to a post published by the embassy on its X account, Hop is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Counselor and has more than 24 years of experience in the Department of State and interagency foreign policy and national security positions, including leadership roles in the Middle East and South Asia.

The #Iran-backed Houthi group announced, through its military spokesperson Yahya Saree, that it had carried out a drone attack targeting what it described as a "sensitive target" at #Najran Airport in southern #Saudi Arabia, claiming the strike hit its target accurately.
