2027 OF @leatham50029 of @WESTHHSBASEBALL made some big gains this Spring, jumping into the starting line up and the CF role for the Falcons. At the plate, he has some wiry energy that's translating into some pop. Bat speed is evident, barrel is getting to the zone quickly and staying through it. Get's his eyes behind the baseball. EVs were up to 89 MPH in BP on 6/10. Ran a 7.23 60 yd, determined to get under 7.0 as he's proven he's a stolen base threat. Solid routes and angles in the OF. Arm up to 82 MPH. Gets good momentum from Catch to throw. Accelerates quickly and can put the brakes on. 3.2 GPA and still Undecided on his degree path, but is very interested in the JUCO Route. 2027 RHP @leatham50029 of @WESTHHSBASEBALL is still fairly new to pitching, but there's a lot to like, and the Falcons will need to replace some arms next year, so its a good opportunity for Leatham to grab some innings in 2027 Leatham's FB sat 79-81 with spins up to 2318. Athletic, short arm action; big leg kick, gets downhill, good follow through. Interesting tilt numbers along with Avg IVB/HB: 16.7/6.5. I see more Velo coming as well Slider was up to 2609 on the Spins. Had some late action, good shape. Avg IVB/HB was -4.8/-14.1 CH needs some work on its shape, it's a high spinner, avg 1976. Maybe play with grips more advantageous to HB. Right now, he's a solid FB/SL guy @NovaXkinetics

I've enjoyed scouting the 6'6" 205 lbs @patrickauten7 of @WESTHHSBASEBALL the past few seasons. The 2027 RHP is very high academic pitching prospect, sporting a 4.115 GPA and a FB that was recently up to 83 MPH at our 6/10 Prospect Filming The FB metrics continue to get interesting as he spins it as high as 2222 from a tall release point and an average of 6.09 Extension. He also averaged an IVB/HB of 13.4/7.7. Was recently clocked at 85 MPH at a June showcase tournament held at @MontreatCavBase Auten, for as big as he is, has pretty good stride mechanics along with a promising Stack & Track. He can definitely work on moving faster, but he can be a tough look for hitters. CB has some shape (IVB/HB: -5.6/-10.9), works well out of his slot. Takes the spin off the CH well (avg 1419). Potential to keep building better pitch shape as he becomes more efficient with mechanics. A lot to like in the tall righty. Coachable, good character. Has gotten Varsity time since Soph year. Will be looked at to take a bigger role for West next season. Playing this Summer with @VeloBaseballWNC Again, high academic, seeking Business or Sports Marketing. Comes from a family of educators. Would be a great Academic D3 prospect with is grades and makeup. @NovaXkinetics

2027 1B @BradyDozier051 of @WESTHHSBASEBALL was a pleasant surprise on the scouting trail this past Spring. He was a new name that jumped into the lineup for Wes this season and he seemed to hit every time we showed up. Built like a Nose Tackle (also a football player) at 5'9" 240, he moves fairly well at 1B for his size and his swing shows the potential to be dynamic. His exit velocities averaged 92 MPH during his BP session and he hit some laser beams vs live arms in the AM on June 10th, including a 100 MPH shot off the Fence. The swing is compact and under control. Good weight transfer in the swing. Hits the ball really hard to all fields. Head and eyes stay very still during a swing that generates a lot of energy. Not afraid of the weight room. XBH threat High academic ball player, 3.9 GA with an interest in becoming a Fireman (Fire Sciences). Good JUCO Route candidate

2027 1B/C Brady Dozier knocked in @WESTHHSBASEBALL's 3rd run of the game in the 3rd inning putting the Falcons up 3-0 over Pisgah on 4/23 Dozier packs some punch in the swing. Stepped up to be a middle of the order hitter in the Falcons lineup this season. We'll also be seeing him at our June 10th Prospect Filming at Mars Hill

2028 @GriffinTillery of @WESTHHSBASEBALL is developing into one of the best overall Catching Prospects in WNC. Very impressed with him on the defensive side, but he's making gains offensively as well. Had a strong game behind the plate on 4/23 making several different types of athletic plays

2027 SS @jacksonstepp of @WESTHHSBASEBALL had a very strong finish to the season, earning him Conference Player of the Year Honors On 4/23, Stepp was 1 for 2 w/ a R, BB, SB, and a Sac Bunt. He's a high motor prospect that can contribute in multiple facets of the game
