@GingerJamesOH just seemed a few yards off the pace, always late to a tackle and as we weren’t a team looking to have possession he never probably got to show that side of his Game . Perhaps comparison to Rice made me judge him to a Higher bar but I personally think all Round Magassa is better

So, if you read the BBC article, which quotes both Gold and a senior figure from Kretinsky’s camp, it looks as though Vanessa Gold has gone back on her agreement to sell the shares to Kretinsky after receiving a higher offer. What’s clear is that Kretinsky couldn’t continue with the plans that both parties had agreed to and officially confirmed on the club’s website. You don’t keep investing more money into the club when the rug is being pulled from under you. I don’t blame Gold for accepting more money, but what she has done - or is trying to do - leaves the club in a state of stasis. So her heartfelt statement about wanting to “let the fans know” just rings hollow. She dropped her knickers the minute there was more money on the table, regardless of how she tries to portray it. By pursuing this sale, she may also be creating an opportunity for Sullivan to regain influence. It appears Kretinsky’s team are unhappy with the situation, and there may no longer be a united voting block against him. According to the BBC, Kretinsky’s team are considering their options, including exercising their pre-emption rights. They argue that this move does the exact opposite of bringing stability to the club - and they’re right. Whether you were happy for Kretinsky to increase his shareholding or not, what we may end up with isn’t necessarily a better outcome. If Stavely’s PCP ends up buying Gold’s shares, it could trigger a battle for influence and control, with Sullivan remaining the club’s largest individual shareholder. Of course, none of us really know the full extent of the pre-emption rights. Can Kretinsky block the sale? Or does today’s statement suggest he could instead use those rights to buy Sullivan’s shares? Stavely coming in initially hugely positive, especially if she was working alongside Kretinsky. But after today’s statement it looks far more hostile. Sullivan has supposedly told Hammers News that Stavely is buying Gold’s shares and that he has heard nothing directly from her. But would you really put it past him to have already agreed a deal to sell his own shares to PCP? I’m sure he’d love the chance to get one over on Kretinsky, so don’t rule it out. That would, of course, be exciting. However, if it’s only Gold’s shares changing hands and PCP ends up with around 25%, there isn’t a great deal they can do without Kretinsky or Sullivan. If that’s the case then I’d rather she leaves things alone, as this could have a detrimental impact during a hugely important season. I just hope we soon hear that one of them is definitely buying Sullivan’s shares, because the thought of him having significant influence again is a big fvcking worry!
