Some smoke is around the Mid-South now and an air quality alert has been issued for Crittenden, DeSoto and Shelby Counties for Wednesday. A lack of winds [which helps 'clean' the air] and ongoing smoke from fires around the Western US will hinder air quality. #TNwx #MSwx #ARwx

While sub-severe, a relatively strong line of thunderstorms is moving through Northern #MSwx this afternoon. 50 mph winds, heavy rain and lightning are all within this storm as it slides to the southeast at around 20 mph.
