🚨 After 20+ years of dead ends, we’re FINALLY this close to the first-ever drug for spinal cord injury. NervGen’s NVG-291 just cleared its End-of-Phase 2 FDA meeting. Phase 3 (RESTORE) launches mid-2026. No approved repair therapy exists today — not stem cells, not anything. But NVG-291 data showed real, lasting gains in hand function, mobility, bladder control, and independence that kept improving after treatment stopped! It’s just a peptide. Fast Track + Orphan Drug status. Timeline: Phase 3 data ~2028 → possible approval in under 3 years. Next targets: stroke, MS, hearing loss. Why the silence? Small biotech, not flashy headlines. @TheFigen_ EmilyTrav on Instagram. She's a quadriplegic which has left her with arms that work weakly, and hands that don't. This is actually very common for quads. The wheels on her chair have hub motors that assist her pushing. She seems to have a good support system.

@ModdedQuad @neuralink Honestly, I hope it can restore sensation after SCI. It seems there are some decent solutions in the works, like epidural stimulation, for restoring volitional movement, but not much yet for restoring sensation.
