Interest in regional #graphite prices has spiked following recent shifts in global regulatory landscape and rising demand. Fastmarkets - who will launch a price benchmark to provide greater transparency for stakeholders - predict demand to surge more than 600% by 2034.

#WKT’s EPC contractors remain on site at #LindiJumbo, allowing us to promptly address operational & performance issues. Their presence has been helpful during our commissioning & ramp up - with plant availability significantly improving in the last month.
Our focus this quarter is to increase throughput, whilst optimising grade and maximising flake size. Rapid turnaround on #graphite sample testing enables us to continually adjust plant settings to optimise operations, with recoveries exceeding 90% consistently with no issues.

Earlier this month, an inaugural shipment of graphite concentrate departed for Europe, with further exports to various destinations in Asia to follow. Current pricing for orders is at market prices, while European prices represent a significant premium to quoted Chinese prices.
Graphite makes up 95% of the anode material in Li-ion batteries - a key component in electrification technology. Amidst expected graphite supply deficits, projects like #LindiJumbo will become a key contributor to ensuring a secure supply globally. More: bit.ly/3VTU8dJ
See the grinding and flotation circuit in action, responsible for extracting the graphite from the ore. The operation is designed to preserve flake size, whilst reducing operational costs. #LindiJumbo currently has one of the highest basket prices globally.
The #LindiJumbo processing plant has an operational capacity of 1,000 tonnes of ore/day. The Fine Ore Bin has enough storage for 1.5 shifts at full capacity, supplemented with the Fine Ore Stockpile to ensure the ore mix is suited for optimal rod mill performance.
