OPINION: I went all-in on Tesla stock in September 2018, driven by a strong belief in the potential of robotaxis and an autonomous future as the cornerstone of my investment thesis. While this future has been slower to materialize than I originally expected, last night's Cybercab event reaffirmed for me that Tesla is on the right path (though I did hope for more detail in the presentation). Riding in the Cybercab, seeing the next-gen Optimus hand up close with 22 degrees of freedom, the reactions of others, etc. I personally spoke with dozens of Tesla engineers at the event, many of whom are on the FSD and Optimus team, and they are deeply committed to turning Elon’s vision into reality. They strongly feel that they will succeed. Tesla is at a pivotal moment in its story. You either believe in Elon's vision or you don't. That said, Tesla is not abandoning its plans for more affordable vehicles with steering wheels. The company made it clear in its Q2 earnings report that production of new, lower-cost models will begin in the first half of 2025. In the long run, what will truly push Tesla to a many multi-trillion-dollar market cap is autonomy and humanoid robots. I'm strapped in for the ride—there will no doubt be challenges along the way, but I believe the outcome will be incredible. Patience will be key.

@quinnjin2009 Actually what we are seeing now is the result of Jacinda’s policies. There is always a lag between the policies are implemented and seeing the results. Just how the first few years of Labour weren’t so bad because the lag of National’s success shone, then it all went down hill.
