everyone’s flexing 10x from ai. metr put experienced devs on their own repos: they predicted +24% speed, felt +20%, came out 19% slower. same code quality. so the keyboard 10x is mostly vibes. what’s real: ai didn’t make you faster, it made the small team viable. teams were big because of dependency not dead weight. one generalist now covers what needed three specialists. the gain’s in the org chart, not the IDE.
