@skgodwin This joint lawsuit by multiple school districts would bring attention to the problem of social media’s influence on kids. Ultimately, parents need to teach their kids responsible use of any technology and set limits on its use. Our phones are not our babysitters.

Great job, Cheryl! Sorry I was unable to attend the Town Hall on Social Media due to work. WCPSS is wise to stand against platforms that pull us down a rabbit hole of moral and intellectual decay. I fully support measures to battle this toxic influence on children’s minds.

How can we make sure our children are safe when they are in school? Many of us think School Resource Officers (SROs) are part of the answer. But our current WCPSS Board does not think so. Even the plea of an elected official has fallen on deaf ears.

@rosshayes @markrobinsonNC As a parent of a child with DS, I can say that we as a society need to do better. It’s not OK to have kids of a wide range of ages and abilities together. The bias of low expectation still looms over WCPPS. That is why I’m running. @WingForWake

@AdamCLove I didn’t realize the extent of it. I’m going to water my plants this beautiful morning then make some calls to my reps (about other issues). We need to elect protectors of public education/kids. Might be a good day to contribute to campaigns of @steveforschools & @WingForWake
