This is what happened at Kent County Council a couple of weeks ago. The Reform administration insisted that the meeting should end with the national anthem, and so opposition Cllrs obliged by insisting that they sing every verse 😂 In the end they got pissed off and cut the feed.

Helen Whately telling Tom Swarbrick on LBC that immigration is “out of control” under Labour is pure political theatre. Net migration has crashed from the Tory peak of nearly a million to 171,000. Work visas, student dependants, asylum claims and hotel numbers are all sharply down. The embarrassment is real. The party that lost control of the numbers now pretends the fall never happened so it can chase Reform votes. Kemi Badenoch’s hard pivot leaves no serious centre right alternative. That’s how parties write themselves out of existence.

The British public are tired of being taken for a ride. We have 1.3 million people on social housing waiting lists. 2800 families with children living in B&Bs. Yet hundreds of thousands of taxpayer funded homes go to foreigners. This must change.

Good grief. I've only just managed to survive watching this inane, performative, factually incorrect nonsense from Labour MP @SamanthaNiblet4. This woman is an embarrassing idiot.

Personally, I think stuff like this should be preserved in a Museum of Female Treachery so that schoolgirls of the future can watch in horror, then offer up a silent prayer of thanks for their rebellious, thoroughly TERFy great-grandmothers.

Regardless of rehabilitation, people will never fully trust those guilty of serious crimes, this is a consequence of their actions that serious criminals must accept. It is concerning that in ten years, through his rehabilitation process, that he hasn’t sought to reach out to his victims. In my opinion this raises questions about his sincerity and motives. Furthermore, where is the evidence that he has spent ten years working to de-radicalise young people? Should we simply take this claim on trust? Given that his prosecution was quite public, I would have expected him to have worked closely with Jewish groups such as the CST—yet no such collaboration seems to have occurred. This raises questions of credibility. Individuals like Bonehill must work hard to regain public trust; an endorsement from a prominent Jewish organisation would significantly contribute to that effort. I’m sorry, but people like Bonehill must do much more to earn my trust.

What deeds? Where is the evidence for these deeds? Has he ever reached out and apologised to his many victims who to this day will undoubtedly still be traumatised? Apparently he’s worked for ten years educating young people? So it’s odd that he doesn’t seem to have had any contact with Jewish community groups.

Whereas I agree with ending the right to access social housing for immigrants on arrival into the UK - I could never support evicting families from their homes. If this becomes a Conservative policy - then that for me would be the end of my party membership, donations and campaigning. @KemiBadenoch

People have placed Bonehill-Paine on a pedestal, praising how wonderful it is that he’s rehabilitated, expecting us to accept him as a person of good character. I leave you with this from witness statements taken at his trial: ‘In court, we heard the victim impact statements from people whose lives had been completely derailed by his campaign of hate and were unable to come to court to give evidence because of it. People who could no longer work, who couldn’t sustain relationships with their partners and family, who were struggling to rebuild any sense of normality.” One wonders whether, a decade on, any of those who had their lives derailed in such a fashion have been able to recover to the extent that they feel comfortable standing for election.

Joshua Bonehill-Paine is a classic case of wokeism. We are rightly angered when rapists or child abusers, after being ‘rehabilitated’, are held up by the left as shining examples of rehabilitation and often afforded undeserved platforms, deified by the gushing left. Here we have Joshua Bonehill-Paine, a Neo-Nazi who through campaigns of hate has severely damaged people’s lives—his victims are out there. But Kemi Badenoch and her loyal supporters have decided that, having been rehabilitated, Bonehill now deserves a platform as a shining light of rehabilitation and a place on Kemi’s team. His victims, however? Oh, stop complaining and go away.

It’s ironic that as part of his rehabilitation, I would have expected Joshua Bonehill-Paine to reach out to his many victims and offer private apologies, and to seek collaboration with Jewish organisations such as the CST. Yet none of this seems to have happened. For me, the lack of such outreach raises questions about his sincerity. Instead, he appears to have time to pursue a public platform and recognition. To me, it seems he is once again seeking a fan base.

The decision to welcome this individual as an adviser to the Leader of the Opposition is no better than allowing him to stand as a council candidate. It is a privileged and influential national role. As a victim of this man’s heinous crimes this appointment is an insult.
