All In 77 Days... 18 days ago I buried my mother. Our daughter Amira was born March 6th. Mom came home April 29th. Taken to hospice May 7th. Gone May 17th. Buried May 22nd. A homecoming. A hospice. A death. A burial. All in 77 days. You do the math. :() My daughter took her first breath while my mother was taking her last ones. I was learning to be a girl-dad and parent a newborn again... and now I have to bury my mother at the same time. Same season. Same hands. Same heart. Nobody prepares you for this. Nobody CAN prepare you for this. There is no sermon clean enough. No theology deep enough. No words sufficient enough for standing between a bassinet and a casket and being expected to function 100%. But here I am. Still standing. What I didn't say… what I couldn't say… is that my mother only had a handful of days where she was truly present enough to meet her granddaughter. She called those mornings her "baby time"... Would ask for Amira to be placed right on top of her. Kissing her. Holding her. Playing with her like nothing else in the world existed...savoring the sweetness of a newborn. She thought she was getting better. Those Baby Time mornings weren't farewell moments to her. She wasn't holding Amira like it was the last time. She was holding her like a thousand more mornings were coming. Some decisions were made that weren't hers to make. Those minutes were small. But they feel like the most valuable thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life. And through all of it… my wife Mia. Carrying a newborn and a grieving husband at the same time. She didn't sign up for this version of our first months as parents. But she never flinched. Two women. One is arriving. One leaving. Both of them wrecked me completely… in completely different ways. …a birth and a burial. …her first breath and my mother's last one. …a daughter who will never know her grandmother and a grandmother who made sure she knew HER… in whatever time she had. June 8 | Know Who You Are | Identity in Christ Before the enemy can destroy your destiny… he has to first destroy your identity… Because if he can convince you that you are less than what God says you are… He doesn't have to fight your future. You will disqualify yourself. You are not who people said you were… You are who God says you are. The Greek word for 'new creation' in 2 Corinthians 5:17 is 'kaine ktisis.' June 7 | Rest in God | Lay It Down I need to ask you a real question today… What are you still carrying that God already told you to put down? There is a version of faithfulness that has become exhaustion. There is a version of responsibility that has become a burden. And God is not calling you to carry what He never placed on your shoulders. He is calling you to come. Just come. And rest. Rest is not retreat… it is repositioning. Jesus used the word "anapausis" to refer to rest in Matthew 11. It does not simply mean sleep. It means a refreshing… a restoration… a renewal that goes all the way to the soul. God is not offering you a nap. He is offering you transformation through surrender. Real rest changes you from the inside out. You cannot carry what God said to cast away! There is so much we pick back up after we've already given it to God. The worry. The control. The anxiety about outcomes. The weight of everyone else's expectations. June 6 | Breakthrough is Coming There is a word I want to put in your spirit today… BREAKTHROUGH. Not just as a motivational concept… but as a prophetic reality that is moving toward you right now. And honestly… it didn't scare me. It freed me. Because unknown territory means the old season is officially over. The recycled lessons… the familiar pain… the people who kept you comfortable but never challenged you to grow… that's behind you now. Some of you are grieving relationships right now that you didn't even end. God ended them for you. People who were there a lifetime… suddenly gone. And it shook you because YOU would've never cut the tie. You're too loyal for that. Too faithful. Too forgiving. But God isn't sentimental about your assignment. He will surgically remove people from your life and let you see exactly who they really were the entire time. Not to hurt you… but to protect where He's taking you. And when He reveals it… don't fight it. Don't chase it. Don't try to resurrect what God buried on purpose. Lean into it. It's OK. Some cuts don't come from enemies. MEMORIAL DAY! Today is more than cookouts… More than flags waving… More than a long weekend. It’s a reminder that freedom has always carried a cost. Jesus said in John 15:13 (AMP): “No one has greater love [nor stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.” Every cemetery filled with fallen soldiers is a silent sermon… A reminder that somebody stood in the gap so others could live free. But Memorial Day is deeper than remembering physical sacrifice… It should also remind us to honor spiritual sacrifice. Remember the praying grandmother who fought battles nobody saw. Remember the father who worked himself weary to feed his family. Remember the pastor who stayed faithful when nobody applauded. Remember the mentor who planted seeds into your life they may never live long enough to see fully bloom. Some people died in war… Others died carrying visions, prayers, burdens, and dreams for future generations. And here’s what’s heavy in my spirit today… A generation that forgets sacrifice eventually starts treating freedom casually. Never become so modern that you lose honor. Never become so distracted that you forget who paid the price for the peace you now enjoy. Somebody prayed for you before you ever knew how to pray for yourself. Somebody cried over your future before you even valued it. Somebody sacrificed comfort so you could walk in opportunity. Today… remember them. And most of all… Remember Jesus. 😂 The internet went from “nobody knows anything” to “everybody’s a millionaire life coach with a ring light and a teleprompter” in about 18 months. What’s wild is… a lot of people don’t actually have wisdom now… They have formatting. AI gave people vocabulary… But vocabulary is not victory. You can usually tell the difference between someone who: • lived through the fire vs • downloaded a prompt pack about the fire. Half the internet sounds like... “Here are the 7 mindset shifts that changed my life…” Meanwhile, they discovered the topic on Tuesday afternoon. 😭 The crazy part? Real people with REAL scars, REAL losses, REAL experience, REAL late nights, REAL betrayal, REAL sales calls, REAL ministry, REAL business failures… now have to compete with polished parrots reading cinematic captions over stock footage of lions walking in slow motion. And yes… some of the content is helpful. But there’s also a growing exhaustion people feel because of the following: Authenticity is becoming more rare than information. We’re drowning in: • scripts • hooks • fake authority • “thought leaders” • recycled frameworks • emotional manipulation disguised as wisdom Everybody became an “expert” overnight because AI removed the friction of sounding smart. But sounding smart and BEING seasoned are two different universes. You can fake cadence. You can fake branding. You can fake confidence. But you cannot fake: • longevity • discernment • scars • intuition • spiritual depth • experience under pressure That stuff leaks through eventually. I think the next wave is not “better AI content.” It’s HUMANITY. 💔 My Mother… Patsy Walker… 💔 Today, my heart has been reflecting on something deeply personal… My mother, Patsy Walker, has been one of the greatest cheerleaders of my life. Even when I doubted myself… She believed in me. Even when doors closed… She reminded me aother one would open. Even when life knocked me down… She carried a faith that somehow I would rise again. There are people who see who you are… And then there are rare people who see who you could become before you ever arrive there. My mother has always carried that gift. As I sit here today watching her fight through one of the hardest seasons of her life, I realize something even deeper… Life is too short to leave purpose buried. There are mantles… Graces… Dreams… Assignments… And pieces of purpose that have laid dormant inside many of us for far too long. And moments like this have a way of awakening something inside you. Not because the pain is easy… Not because the questions disappear… But because difficult seasons force you to reevaluate what truly matters. Some seasons bury you… Other seasons awaken you. I believe something is awakening in me again. Not pride. Not revenge. Not proving something to people. But a determination to finally become everything God placed inside of me before the foundations of the world. The pain… The warfare… The heartbreak… The betrayal… The pressure… None of it was wasted. Some things had to shake so other things could finally wake up. And as I sit here reflecting today, I can still hear my mother’s voice in my spirit saying: “Keep going… Don’t stop now… There’s still more in you.” So while she is still here fighting today… I honor her by making this declaration publicly: I will not allow fear, disappointment, delay, or heartbreak to bury what God placed inside of me. 🌙 LAST NIGHT SOMETHING HAPPENED TO ME IN PRAYER... In the middle of the night, I experienced something I can only describe as a fresh mantle of intercession. I woke up sensing a level of spiritual authority and grace that I have rarely felt in my life. It was as if heaven suddenly placed a new burden and a new boldness upon me to pray. The words began flowing so strongly that I reached for my recorder and began speaking as fast as they were coming. Later, I had the prayer transcribed because I knew this was not just for me. But what happened next is difficult to fully explain. I began walking throughout my home... downstairs... entering each room one by one... praying aloud with unusual boldness and authority. And with every step I took... and with every word I spoke... I literally felt as though something spiritual was being activated. It was as if an invisible repellent was being released against every force of darkness. It felt like a new level of divine security was being established over my family, my home, and our future. As I walked and prayed, I could sense that change was coming. I saw in my spirit that certain shifts were already taking place. And many things were being downloaded into my spirit man that I cannot fully share at this time. All I can say is... WOW!!! This prayer is for every believer who wants to place a supernatural hedge of protection around their family, their children, their marriage, their health, and their destiny. If you have ever felt like unseen forces were working against you... If you have sensed unusual pressure, confusion, delay, or spiritual warfare...
