Frank Siller remembers the heartbreak of learning his younger brother Stephen, an FDNY firefighter and father of five, wasn’t coming home after responding to the attack on the Twin Towers. “We knew one thing, that when Stephen made this sacrifice… we had to do something.” That promise grew into Tunnel to Towers, with Siller saying his family simply set out to perform “little simple acts of kindness” in Stephen’s name. BREAKING: At least five people are dead and five others are injured after an Amazon cargo jet overran the runway at Miami International Airport, triggering a massive emergency response. Miami officials, police, fire rescue and FAA representatives are providing updates as authorities investigate the deadly incident. The FAA is investigating the crash.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Ray Jadallah describes the "very complex situation" his crews encounter as they work to free victims trapped inside vehicles and rescue the pilot and co-pilot from the aircraft. Nearly 200 fire rescue personnel respond to the scene, with three people transported in critical condition and crews working to mitigate an active fuel leak. The FAA and NTSB will determine what caused the crash.
