Our Manager, Lee and volunteer, Barbara had a lovely afternoon on Friday at ASDA in Harrogate celebrating their 60th anniversary. Barbara also received a Community Diamond Award in recognition of her volunteering for 16 years at Essential Needs.

It was a pleasure to speak at Ripon Rotary Club last week, informing them about Essential Needs and how we support people experiencing furniture poverty in our local community.
Thank you for coming to see us Tom. It was a pleasure to show you our store and explain how we have helped people in our local community for the past 30 years.
Today, I visited Essential Needs, which is celebrating 30 years of supporting our local community. Their staff and volunteers provide affordable household items to help tackle furniture poverty. It was inspiring to hear about all they do and the difference they make.
It's our 30th anniversary this year! We will be celebrating our achievements throughout the year with various events. Thank you to everyone who has been involved and supported Essential Needs over the past 30 years.
Wow! Ted and Lee had the pleasure of being invited into @PrimaryWestern to meet pupils who, through a series of toy sales, raised a staggering £530! We were blown away hearing that 50% of proceeds are being donated to Essential Needs in our fight against child bed poverty.
As a beneficiary, we were delighted to attend The Local Fund celebration evening last week. Their support has enabled us to provide bedding packs on our free beds for children campaign. @TwoRidingsCF @james_a_drury
Thank you to pupils & staff at St Roberts Catholic Primary School for inviting us to see its Mini Vinnies Toy Sale in action. The children were thrilled to meet Ted. They raised £283.65 to support our beds for children scheme for local children who don’t have a bed of their own.
We recently started an initiative with local furniture stores for their customers to donate their existing furniture to us when they buy new items. A big thank you to Mr Noble who was the first customer to donate under this scheme and @CotswoldCo for their support. #reuse
