@markminervini Martingale strategy works well until it doesnt. And when it doesn't, it leaves a large crater in the portfolio. In Germany we had the Wirecard scandal. People who had stops were out before it blew out. People who weren't sued management, because it couldn't be their own fault.

So, now its all gone. 0% invested. Went from slightly above 50% to slightly above 32% YTD. That's around 11% drawdown. Noticed my Nasdaq trendfollowing system is not adjusted to my risk tolerance. But tbh, if the year ended now, I'd be happy. Strong emotional position.

I just had to buy $XMTR . There are just things that one has to buy, no matter what. Whether it was a mistake? No. Position sizing on the other hand... Maybe a bit too big after not buying anything for some time. Every detail counts.

@prrobbins False. It is true when it comes to trading. It is false when it comes to policy. There are known market failures when it comes to the "tragedy of commons" (environment, fishing, etc.), public goods or to monopolies and competition law. These failures need to be prevented.
