@SheepsBridge @clrk_o @chiasmir This style where the main element of the design is made only with outlines is probably the easiest to learn and quickest to execute. Is this what you had in mind? I would still consider practicing for a while in simple cotton fabric before embroidering on clothes.

@clrk_o @SheepsBridge @chiasmir It depends a lot on the stitches you use and how simplified the design is. But I would say it's still a hard project for a total beginner, especially because you plan to do it on a garment, which increases the difficulty a bit.

@capstellium Probably way more than you would like to. Look for secondhand options. Last year, I got a pair of large custom made curtains in designer fabric for 60€. The fabric alone would cost me over 150€... per meter. I have low ceilings, so all I had to do was hem them.

@justsomefish_ I'm terrible at reviews, but I can say that I liked it. She's been compared to Jane Austen, which I think it's a stretch... But it's definitely an enjoyable read. If you like Evelyn Waugh and P. G. Wodehouse you'd probably like this book.
