There are times when God will allow people to disappoint or betray you, not because He wants to hurt you, but because He wants to show you something deeper. Sometimes, it takes being let down by people to realize that you were depending on them more than you were to God.

The enemy is incapable of terminating what God has destined for you. Trust Him, through it all, and refuse to get stuck on your circumstances because they are temporary and subject to change!

A surprising amount of adulthood is just finally accepting that no one is coming to impose the structure you need. You either build it, or you drift inside the structures other people built for you.

The longer you delay building the life you actually want, the more likely you are to normalize a weaker substitute. Drift hardens into identity faster than people realize.

Be careful when God gives you choices. I would rather submit myself to the will of God than depend on my own understanding to make decisions. The Bible says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 Our hearts can deceive us, our understanding is limited, and what seems right in our eyes may not be right before God. “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” — Proverbs 14:12 So I don't want to simply ask God to bless my choices. I want to surrender my choices to Him. I may be wrong when I choose according to my own understanding, but I can never go wrong by submitting to the will of God. “Not my will, but yours be done.” — Luke 22:42 Lord, let Your will be done in my life, even when Your will is different from what I would have chosen.

Read Psalm 91 and watch how things start to shift. It is not just a verse. It is a covering. A thousand may fall at your side ten thousand at your right hand but it will not come near you. That is not poetry. That is real protection. Life will get loud. Things will happen around you. Situations will look scary uncertain and overwhelming. But when you really sit with that chapter you realize you are more protected than you have been acting. Fear gets quieter. Anxiety does not hit the same. You start moving different. Not because nothing is happening. Because you know you are covered no matter what. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. Psalm 91:7📖🫰🏼🩷

My advice to anyone starting out: Develop a very strong opinion about yourself. Know exactly who you are & who you are not. If you don't, random people will try to tell you who you are, and you might just start believing them.

𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗦𝗢 𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚—𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗜𝗠 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘? There are moments when you pray about something with every ounce of faith you have, yet nothing seems to change. You ask God to save the marriage. You ask Him to heal the sickness. You ask Him to provide the money. You ask Him to open the door. Then the days turn into weeks. And somewhere in the waiting, a painful question begins to whisper: “God, if You can do something about this, why haven't You done it yet?” John 11 gives us a remarkable answer. Mary and Martha knew Jesus could heal their brother Lazarus. They sent Him a message because Lazarus was seriously ill. Jesus knew what was happening. He knew they were hurting. He knew Lazarus was dying. Yet He did not arrive when they expected Him to. By the time Jesus came, Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days. Martha met Jesus with words that came from a wounded heart: “Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.” — John 11:21 She believed Jesus could have prevented the tragedy. What she did not yet understand was that Jesus was about to reveal something greater than what she had asked Him to do. She was thinking about healing. Jesus was about to demonstrate resurrection. That is what makes God's timing so difficult for us. 𝗪𝗘 𝗢𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗞 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗔 𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗬𝗘𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗘. The tomb looked final. The circumstances looked irreversible. But Jesus stood before the tomb and called Lazarus out. And Lazarus came out alive. So if you are in a season where God seems late, remember this: 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗘𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡. You may not understand the delay. You may not understand the silence. You may not understand why God allowed something to reach a point you never imagined. But you can still trust Him. Because the God who allowed Lazarus to enter the tomb was the same God who called him out. 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗔 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. The story is not over simply because you cannot see what God is doing. “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life.” — John 11:25 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗔 𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗦. Stay blessed. 🙏

if you’re going through hell right now because you decided to do the right thing then I have news for you: you will receive a bounty and blessing a hundredfold the size of the suffering you’re going through. you just have to wait it out. if I were ever to envy someone, it’d be you. you’re about to get flooded with a joy unspeakable. just a bit more.

Not everyone has a family that checks in. Not everyone has parents who listen or siblings who care. Some people have learned to wipe their own tears, hold their own hands, and celebrate their victories alone because no one is clapping for them. Be kind. Be gentle. You never know who is going to bed tonight feeling unseen, unwanted, or forgotten—someone who had to become their own family just to survive. But this is the message of Jesus Christ to you tonight: “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” — Jeremiah 31:3 Go on with this assurance: you are not alone. Jesus Christ sees you. He loves you. He has not forgotten you, and His love for you is everlasting. Rest tonight knowing that you are deeply loved by God. 🕊️

Your muscles may be sore, but they work. You didn't sleep well last night, but God woke you up. Your wallet may not be full, but your belly is. You may not have it all, but God gives you what you need. Your life may not be perfect, but it is good. If you've truly been blessed and you know it, give God praise.

God: Open your hands. You: They’re empty. God: No. They’re clenched. You: I’m holding on so I don’t lose it. God: You’re losing yourself trying not to lose it. You: I don’t know how to stop. God: You don’t stop by understanding it. You stop by unclenching. You: What if I drop it and there’s nothing under me? God: What if you keep it and there’s nothing left of you? The weight you’re protecting is the weight that’s pinning you. You: Then what am I supposed to do with it? God: Nothing. That’s the point. You were never meant to manage what I already paid for. Set it down. I don’t need your strategy. I need your hands free.

And for my next act, I'll be giving myself permission to genuinely enjoy my life, even if it doesn’t look how I thought it would.

King Nebuchadnezzar ordered everyone to bow down to a golden image. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused because they would worship God alone. The king became furious and ordered them to be thrown into a blazing furnace. They knew God could save them, but they also made it clear that they would remain faithful even if He did not. “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from it.” - Daniel 3:17 The king looked into the furnace and saw not three, but four men walking around in the fire. God was with them, and they came out without being burned. Their faith reminds us that following God doesn’t mean we will never face the fire. It means we don’t face it alone...
