@ThirteensMartyr It has been some time since she’s and Gale had ventured outside the borders of the District. It hadn’t gone the way she thought it would but she knew damn well it wouldn’t been much worse if she’d been there alone. She couldn’t stop—

@ThirteensMartyr [She didn’t expect to hear that from him. This entire time she failed to think about the fact that her accident affected more than just her] /Need/ me? [Maybe it was selfish but she needed to hear that again. To hear that she was the one being needed by someone else instead—

@ThirteensMartyr —I was hoping it was. [Her fingers moving up into his hair] Thank you for helping me while I’m broken. [Pressing her lips to his again, now that she didn’t have to stop herself all she wanted was to keep kissing him and holding him]

@ThirteensMartyr [As soon as he’s moved her onto him and wrapped her up she can feel a very familiar sense of easement and protection. Her arms going around him and holding onto him just as tightly almost afraid that letting him go would make all of this go away] Even if I didn’t know it was you—

@ThirteensMartyr —for there to be any space between them anymore. Being wrapped up in him she simply answers his apology with another kiss] I’m sorry it took so long for me to remember. I’m sorry I caused us lost time. [Her heart feeling as if it could beat in normal rhythm again]

@ThirteensMartyr [It’s almost instant the way her memories start to clear even more. Now that she can put a face to the dreams she had it’s like a fog is lifted and she knows beyond doubt he’s the one she’d been dreaming of and holding on to. Her arms wrapped tightly around him she doesn’t want—

@ThirteensMartyr —was so purely him] I still remember how you taste [Murmuring against his lips while catching her breath before kissing him again. She doesn’t notice the single tear that flows down her face. It wasn’t of pain but of pure joy of /finally/ getting back something she sorely missed]

@ThirteensMartyr [She doesn’t hesitate to close the space between them, claiming his lips in a desperate kiss. Both hands on either side of his face as she lets herself fall into the kiss. Taking in every bit of him she possibly could, from the way his lips felt against hers to that scent that—

@ThirteensMartyr —she already knew that she was going to ask about the kiss. Her hands nervously grasping the bedsheets] I have one that’s been in my mind since that day outside the District limits. I think you know what it is, but I don’t know if I should.

@ThirteensMartyr [She lets out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding in. Suddenly knowing that she could have the answers she’d been searching for feels like a weight on her shoulders that could tumble] Okay. [There were far too many that were constantly running through her mind. But—

@ThirteensMartyr —more dodgy ones? [She needed to know if it was worth taking a shot. She wasn’t about to ask what she wanted to if she wasn’t sure she would get a straight answer. She couldn’t handle the embarrassment that it would bring on her]

@ThirteensMartyr [She forces down the scoff that tries to come up. She knows he genuinely wants to help her but she’d been offered help before only to be told that her questions couldn’t be answered. She couldn’t hold it against anyone but that didn’t stop the frustration] An actual answer or—

@ThirteensMartyr —want to remember what it was I forgot in the first place, but I also don’t want to miss out on what’s right in front of me in the meantime. [Her eyes finding his and holding her gaze as she talks before looking away again] I just don’t want to miss out on anything else.

@ThirteensMartyr It’s actually been kind of freeing in a way. [Moving around a bit to face him completely] Aside from the fact that it helps with the headaches I think it’s why I’m starting to remember things a little more clearly. [Not realizing that her lips curved up in a small smile] I still—

@ThirteensMartyr —As much as she wanted to know the full story she’d come to realize that there was a reason she didn’t know it all] I’ve taken your advice. The not focusing on the past too much and trying to be more in the moment.

@ThirteensMartyr [She raises a brow when he says he snuck them out. Surprised that he’d take that risk, she knew getting caught would mean real trouble for the both of them] Always full of surprises aren’t you? [He was more fidgety than usual, there was more to the story he was holding back. —

@ThirteensMartyr —allowed to go hunt at all. District rules are anywhere are pretty tight, hell our whole days are planned and scheduled for us in advance. You must’ve been pretty damn convincing.

@ThirteensMartyr [She laughs a bit seeing the difference in size. It’s no surprise his arms were bigger but seeing them side by side just made her grin] Well that’s not surprising. Your arms are a hell of a lot stronger than mine. [Bringing her arm back down] To be honest I’m surprised we were—

@ThirteensMartyr —honestly I kinda wanna know about that whole learning to hunt thing. Plus, I tend to get headaches whenever I try to force myself to remember something else and I really don’t want to deal with that today.

@ThirteensMartyr [It’s a huge relief hearing him say that he’s recovered well from that. She knows that the time he spent in a wheelchair could not have been easy at all for him. She doesn’t think much of it when he moves, trying to think of what she can ask] There’s more that comes back but—
