So this was recorded Yesterday in Nepal. While glaciers collapse on a mountain in Nepal, some people are filming it as if it were an ordinary event. I wonder what happened to them in the end?

WHO CONTROLS KENYA’S PUBLIC JOBS? If the allegations made by the National Assembly Speaker Hon. Dr. Moses Wetang’ula are to go by, then Kenya has a problem far bigger than the alleged sale of TSC job forms. We are talking about the possible capture of a public institution by political networks. A teaching job should be earned through a transparent, competitive recruitment process, not through an MP, a political connection or, worse, a payment allegedly running into hundreds of thousands of shillings. The most disturbing part of the allegations is the claim that appointment letters can be accessed through political channels and allegedly sold for up to Sh400,000. For an unemployed teacher, that is not a “fee.” It is exploitation. But let’s also be clear: allegations are not convictions. Wetang’ula’s claims must be independently investigated, and whoever is found responsible must face the law, whether they are an MP, a government official, a broker or anyone else. The questions are simple: Who received the letters? Who authorised them? Who got the jobs? Was money demanded? Where did the money go? And did anyone inside TSC or elsewhere facilitate the process? Follow the documents. Follow the recruitment records. Follow the money. Because if public jobs are being converted into political commodities, then this is no longer just about teachers. It is about whether merit or political connections determine who gets a job in Kenya. And that is a question every Kenyan should care about.

A day at a cattle camp. When the sun rises, they rise too. The smoke from the fire made the previous night. From the dried cow dung, against the sun, it rises majestically, and the mooing of the cows marks an aesthetic moment that is quite an art. Young girls and women milk the cows still tethered to their poles; young men sing praises to their initiate bull while they dust it with grey ash from burnt cow dung, and its horns are continuously shaped with it. This ash acts as a repellant and it calms down the animal. The men inspect the animals too during this process to ensure the animal is healthy and has no sign of illness or tick infestation. The cattle are led out for pasture land designated for that day or to the nearest water point; behind them, the wet dung is collected by the young girls, and it is heaped on one side of the camp, and some is spread out to be burnt later in the evening. When the sun goes down. The cattle are guided back to the camp; from afar, the jingling of the bells on their neck can be heard, which sets a rhythm and a spiritual connection. They are tethered to their pegs. And the pile of dried cow dung is burnt; it produces fire that burns from within and produces warmth outward with a thick white smoke that acts as a mosquito repellent. Women and young girls milk the cows, and some of the milk is used for the night meal, and some is made into a traditional yogurt. Around the fire, stories are shared, and songs are sung while young men stay guard to protect the camp.

I've been trusting the process for 5 years now.. waiting for the process to return the favour.

They claim that Meta built its apps to hook kids on purpose. Talk of the infinite scroll, disappearing stories, like counts and filters that change how you look. Allegedly, they engineered these to keep children and teens glued to their screens for profit. The lawsuit wants it all changed, that is, parental verification for teens, an end to autoplay, no more multiple accounts, no more like counts. I’ll watch closely on how this biggest tech accountability trial in history unfold.
