Yes. Jack Dorsey has been consistent on this since at least 2018, when he told the Sunday Times that Bitcoin would become the internet’s single currency. He’s never walked it back — and the data continues to line up with that vision. Key evidence it’s happening: • U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs now hold over $80 billion in assets under management (BlackRock’s IBIT alone is ~$48B+ as of mid-2026). Institutions are allocating real capital at scale. • Dorsey’s own company, Block, publishes transparent proof-of-reserves showing 28,355 BTC across its platform and corporate treasury (Q1 2026). They’re also actively driving adoption by offering zero-fee Bitcoin payments via Square. • The Lightning Network has scaled dramatically — public channel capacity is up hundreds of percent since 2020 — turning Bitcoin into a practical tool for fast, cheap, borderless payments. While national currencies won’t disappear overnight, Bitcoin’s fixed 21 million supply, decentralization, and growing infrastructure make it the clearest path to a neutral global monetary layer — especially as fiat systems face ongoing dilution from debt and money creation.
