A tokenized bond can reveal an investor’s position without that investor ever announcing it. Imagine an investment fund holds a bond on a fully public blockchain. A smart contract sends interest payments automatically. If the bond terms and each payment are visible, observers can work backwards from the interest payment to estimate how much the fund holds. When the fund sells or transfers part of its position, they can track that too. That routine payment becomes a live signal about the fund’s portfolio and strategy. Regulated markets need automation, but they do not need that exposure. On Dusk, privacy-preserving smart contracts can coordinate eligibility checks, payments, transfers and settlement while protecting sensitive investor data. Selective disclosure can give issuers, auditors and supervisors access to the records they are authorized to review without publishing the same information to everyone else. Tokenized markets become more useful when they are automated and reviewable without broadcasting sensitive investor data.
