@dabeaz @_rchaves_ @ramalhoorg @codewithanthony @jugmac00 A lot of working code is of the "can work" variety (as opposed to "does work"), and that is not necessarily accidental. On second thought, "a lot" probably should be "almost all". But , as you say, the operative word is "working".

@ID_AA_Carmack John - What model B did you have? We had a 1968 - last year before they raised bumper to meet US standards. Only car we worked on fearlessly. Knock off wire wheels and a very manual convertible roof.

@dabeaz We got hooked by Claude Shannon and FORTRAN. Then it was LISP and SNOBOL and Fred Brooks’ “pure thought stuff”. Impossible to imagine a more fun, fulfilling path to making a living.
