I wish I had learnt about pacing earlier in my health journey. I used to push through my pain & fatigue. It was really hard for me to accept that resting did not mean I was weak or that I wasn’t trying hard enough. I felt like a failure, to be honest. But now I really understand what pacing with EDS is and what it is not. I was able to implement strategies that I needed to find a sustainable rhythm to manage energy and avoid the boom and bust I used to experience regularly.
